The concept is inspired by Italian dining traditions, with a particular focus on cicchetti – small dishes traditionally associated with Venice and designed to be shared.
Guests can choose from freshly prepared Italian dishes, accompanied by a selection of Portuguese wines and signature cocktails. The experience also includes traditional Italian gelato for those looking for something sweet after dinner.
The restaurant changes atmosphere as the day progresses, with Marriott describing it as a relaxed retreat during the day before becoming an Italian-style terrace in the evening.
Amarea is one of three dining venues currently listed at Marriott Residences Salgados Resort. The resort is also home to In Season, which offers Mediterranean and seasonal dishes, and Green Artisan, a more casual space serving lighter options, cocktails, kombucha and snacks.
Located in Herdade dos Salgados, close to Salgados Beach, the resort combines residential-style accommodation with hotel facilities. Its residences feature larger living spaces, kitchens and private balconies, while facilities across the resort include 10 outdoor swimming pools, a fitness centre, children’s activities and access to nearby golf and wellness facilities.
The new Italian concept adds another dining option to the wider Salgados resort area, where the neighbouring Algarve Marriott Salgados Golf Resort & Spa also has several restaurants, including Japanese-inspired KAN.JO and the Italian Amarea Terrazza.
