Extraordinary Desserts was once the hottest spots in San Diego. There main location closed down, but they stayed nearby. Lines were out the door all the time, but now one can arrive and get through pretty quickly. So is it still worth it?
Overall I went with the family and the desserts are still decadent and tasty. The drink I had, the Strawberry Rose Lemonade, was amazing. Quality is still very good and the prices are what you would expect around the $10 – 15 range.
Losing its old location was devastating for Extraordinary as its intimate vibe, made it an amazing date place. I think the loss of hype has a bit to do with that as well as things become common and new, exciting places come out.
If you have never been, I’d still recommend stopping by, and maybe choose the Little Italy location over the Banker’s Hill. They still are serving savory desserts for all the chocolate and non-chocolate lovers out there.
