How does this compare to where you live?
This is how much I spent on *essentials only* my first year living in Italy. 🇮🇹
⭐️Important notes:
€1 ≈ $1.15 USD
This was for 2 people, living in a smaller town near Bari (Puglia), and renting a 2-bedroom, 2-bath.
Our water, gas, and trash was included in rent.
We didn’t own a car, but took the bus most weekends into Bari. 🚌
I didn’t include things like dining out, clothing, or entertainment here because I think those can really vary depending on your lifestyle.
📌It’s important to remember that Italian salaries are much lower than ones in the US. But it is really amazing to see things like healthcare, food, and transportation be accessible for more people.
