With the usd having taken a dive and a government that has taken prices to the skies 7000usd are giving you what 5000 would have 18 months ago.

There is no amount I would pay for a 10 night Caribbean cruise with only 4 ports, 2 of them being fake

Sometimes we cruise for the ship (NCL Prima) and the food was great. Other times we cruise for the ports. We will cruise on Star Princess for the food, new ship and some ports that we have not been to.❤❤❤
Did you pay travel insurance? I did not see that one listed which is so important! I would not spend that money on Carnival unless is a brand new ship in Europe.😮❤

However, there is no way I would ever set foot on a Carnival ship, as the cruise entertainment is just too rowdy, with all the kids, loud deck parties, waterslides, etc. for me!
Also, $7,000 won't get you much on a luxury cruise. Maybe an inside cabin, and you would be last in line for booking all the dining and excursions. I have been saving up, so my husband and i can take a cruise on either Oceania or Viking, and decent cabins (not the highest luxury level, but around the middle level with a balcony) start at around $8,000 for 2 people for most 7 day cruises.
Dates, destination and port are all factored in when I choose. I’m a teacher so I have to work around the school calendar. There aren’t many Caribbean ports I haven’t been to so it’s just a matter of which date/destination/port combo is most appealing. I love cruising for all of it – ports, food, entertainment, relaxation and casino.
@cruisetipstv one question though – why do you pay for the chat plan if you both have Wi-Fi? Can’t you chat through messenger or WhatsApp and save the $20?

I couldn't agree more. Every resort and hotel includes wifi. I realize a ship is different, but they market it as a resort at sea, and wifi should be included at this point. As always, great video and info Sherri.
I just got off a 4 day MSC Seashore cruise where my total bill was less than half your internet cost, and I had a fantastic time. $399 for my wife and I to have an inside cabin. She bought two Cokes and we got an umbrella chair on the island for $20. It is not necessary to spend much to have a great vacation. I could take about 14 of those cruises (56 days) for the price of your 10 day cruise. To each their own, but I'll always choose to forego internet and other luxuries for a few days if it means taking multiple trips in a year. And it turns out the world did not need to hear from me for those 4 days in order to keep on spinning on its axis.
Congratulations on spending 7K in 10 days while avoiding anything cultural, historical, or educational whatsoever! We need more content creators doing the same thing.
I'm so sorry but I feel like you have a lot of misinformation about the things that you’ve spoke about in this video and you actually seem like you’re trying to mimic Ilana. I don’t think that I will ever watch any of your videos ever again and this was my first, but I think it will be my last.
I would have just done interior room but that’s a personal choice. We don’t stay in room much.

We were on the Carnival Legend in Nov/Dec of 2025 and it was the cleanest ship I have ever been on. It sounds like the suite was a fun upgrade…it sounds delightful! Thank you for all the tips and tricks for the ports, and I think it was worth it for you. We get our Carnival cruises via a free room offer (we gamble some) and so we are willing to make some allowances for that ~ Thanks Sherri!
I am going a 10 night next week for spring break 2 balcony rooms 6 people 1300 each room. Free drinks all around the ship. You’re crazy but everyone has their own way!

Just got back from 4 day cruise (3-2-2026) food was horrible, room smelled like sewer and all bars were out of Michelob Ultra after 2nd day. Rude bartenders when questioned about why?

Enjoyed your video! I’m going on the same ship/itinerary in a week with my adult son. Since I’m a gambler, my extended balcony room is free and we will both have free drinks everywhere. But to be honest, I’ve paid for this cruise with prior casino loses. 😢
Plan to curtail gambling, no internet, no extra frills this time. The only port I haven’t done yet is Princess Cays. I pick the cruises for the itineraries.
Staying at Gaido’s Seaside Inn in Galveston the night before. They have free cruise parking. Haven’t done this before, so a little nervous about my vehicle’s safety there. But that’ll save me $300. 👍

We share our wifi. We just ask each other if we can have it and only pay for one access. We are a couple that works while on board.

I did the same exact cruise Feb 16 to the 26. At Celebration Key my best friend and I went to the Pearl Cove all inclusive club. The water in the ocean was too cold.The pool was heated and there was a swim up pool. It was excellent.
Please can you tell me if you can make Wi-Fi calling through your carrier without using third-party apps on this ship with the premium package? I need to be able to make phone calls on my carnival legend trip this July. Using a third-party app in my scenario will not be an option because I use it for my nurses to clock in and clock out since I am quadriplegic and required 24 hour nursing care.
My home internet is $480/yr. For $9600 I can go on a Explora Journey IV 14 day all inclusive balcony terrace. So, no I would not pay that for Carnival, Royal, NCL, etc..
