Eva’s parents are visiting us in America for the first time! They just arrived from Calabria, and the first thing we had to do was take them shopping. Where would you take someone who is new to America for groceries?
We decided on… Costco.

We're excited to have Mamma Rosa and Papa Turi visiting us in America for the first time? What should we take them to do while they're here in the States?
I still argue with my mother that went hair doesnโt make u sick not wearing a hat in the winter nor sitting to close to a fan ,that none of these things make u sick. Bacteria, viruses and parasites make u sick. Those other things do not. And she still responds with โ but it lowers ur resistance so that u can get sick from those things.โ Itโs ridiculous. Lol
Was brought up without AC, live now in the USA and don't use AC.๐
Eva's parents obviously are not fat like Americans so like me they need warm clothes where ever they go in the USA.
One of you or both of you took them home too ? Ci!???
So true on the cold thing!!๐๐๐
Just like my Italian grandmother. She's suspicious of everything and always cold lol. Really don't understand what makes the Parmigiano Reggiano bottom shelf quality though.
Having family from Cosenza, I could have predicted every step of this adventure. Brilliant….bronchitis, sunglasses inside…real Italians, I love it!
Italians are genetically required to complain about literally everything. And of course if their food largely consists of thing made with noodle and ketchup, which of course they believe it's the best in the world. And the wife's mustache is coming long great !
And this, my American friends, is a clear demonstration why Europeans are healthier in general๐
I love the energy of the parents when the ingredients are mentioned and theyโre like โWTFโ.
Lol at the Mum and her reaction to the cold, I felt that.
Nobody in this country has ever thought that the Cesar salad was Italian.
Now I want to see asians go to Italy and say things like โthey donโt know what pasta isโ. The arrogance is real.
How thoroughly enjoyable to watch!
Canola is Rapeseed oil
Coming from European here. The way her parents were inspecting the foods was hilarious. And I get it.
I live in the us and I never costco
๐๐๐seems very hard to please native Italians.
No offense but costco looks something where I buy my two by fours
Americans don't think a ceasar salad is Italian. I don't understand why you would tell a lie like thaht
Adoro che dico no a tutto
Italians born in Italy have a very different view of food and eating. In fact, while I visited Italy years ago, food was like an art to them. They took their time preparing it and also eating it. They don't just throw food in a shopping cart and run out of a store, like we do. It's a way of life there.
