  1. After watching Justin Wilson on PBS for Decades I can most assuredly inform you that That Is Not Gumbo By Any Stretch of the Imagination !!!

  2. People tend to forget that the EU/UK, Doesn't compare to the US, we are so large, that each state is like its own country in Cuisine, You can absolutely get all sorts of good Cuisine in say the EU, but UK that's not a possibility, Our Cuisine is awesome, I live in Texas, And Texas we take cuisine from all states and make our own

  3. The british empire literally owned india for a long time and still never spiced their food like whaaaaaast?!?!?! Lmao. Why would anyone go to the UK for food? Sounds like the most bland, dry, stale food possible

  4. 2:26 you said the jambalaya looks like paella and you’re spot on. Jambalaya was invented by Spanish settlers in Louisiana trying to make paella with local ingredients and spices. ✌️👍🤘

  5. It’s the food you should be getting in the UK when they say Louisiana or Cajun. Brits have no idea what makes food Cajun, Mexican or Tex Mex.

  6. Soul food is not the correct term. Creole would cover it better. Gumbo is much older then 75 years. What is called "soul food" is not a very wide selection of foods.

  7. Being stationed at fort Polk now fort Johnson best places for Louisiana soul food is little out of the way places ,on sone 2 lane highway like Monroe, baton rouge, dela Croix, saint Bernard parish and places in new Orleans like commanders place

  8. Trust me, there's no better food than Louisiana! Makes my heart happy to see you enjoy such great food!

  9. I get a sense of joy and pride seeing people trying foods from my country and getting it…I love the South so much…God bless the USA!

  10. The sweet yams/sweet potatoes are… sweet potatoes baked with brown sugar and butter, with marsh mellows on top. It is one of the things I like to serve on the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

  11. Ahhhhh! Dizzys is my first stop when I make it to new Orleans, every. Single. Time. Everything they have is amazing!

  12. I LOVE Jambalaya! Gumbo is great also. Would love to try the pork chops. It all looks delicious
