Don’t know how far away from GIO you are but he found an authentic Italian place owned by an authentic Italian in the Philippines also.
There’s plenty of good Italian restaurants in Manila.

Should smell awesome! I spent 3 years in Naples – traveling in and around Italy and Europe. Love the Italian's! Traditional Italian food is superb! Filipino's like that sweet sauce – the tomato sauce. Congratulations on the find! You being from Philly know good Italian food!
Brian it's better to make it yourself. Canoli in Boston is about $4.00 a piece 😂 i even made a short about it.

Did I read that wrong? Did he want roughly $80 USD for a steak in the Philippines? The menu at the end seemed more realistic, it still seemed pricey for the Phils, but he is likely catering to "rich foreigners." hahaha. Man, now I have a hankerin' for a good Cannoli. I haven't had one since last time I went back home to east TN to visit. A friend is from Italia and opened a restaurant. His wife makes the best Cannoli I have ever eaten, and his spinach/mushroom Calzones make my mouth water just thinking about it. When/if I ever have the chance to visit the Phils, I sure will have to at least try out their Cannoli. Good job.

This is great news as I am Sicilian. I've driven by that place many times but just figured Filipino style Italian.
But he is the real deal.

Not pistachio I guess … Some use melted chocolate to dip ends of the shell in.. Peanuts and pistachio and chocolate chips are common.. Cherries look very fancy on yours.. Ricotta cheese and powdered sugar in filling along with masala wine, I have done some before.. Better to just buy some I think 😂😂👍
Ate at this restaurant a few times on my last trip all was great each time owner and family are friendly and great!
Yeah the pizza crust should be thin so that’s good. A good Italian Pizza should be hard to eat by picking it up with your hands especially if’s it loaded down with delicious cheese. I’ve had to eat it with a fork and knife That looked almost like something you would find in the freezer section but if the ingredients are fresh it probably did taste decent.. I’ve not tried the other I don’t think. I’m from the state that invented Pepperoni Rolls and I bet those can be found just about everywhere in the US but it’s a Italian style food as it was invented in WV .
Pizza looked really good and it looks like it is a really good quality restaurant . Items on the menu looking good. Tnx for sharing this Brian. It looks like a good spot to have a nice romantic dinner.
I've eaten there many times under this owner and under the previous owners. Excellent food and great atmosphere. Highly recommended.
