In need of restoration but endless possibilities!

Castello Mazziotti is located in one of Italy’s best kept secrets, Bella Calabria.Β  Calabria, in Italy’s south, is still largely untouched by visitors from overseas making it one of the most authentic and pure Italian geographies in existence. This beautiful Castle is nestled in the heart of Old Italy’s wine and olive country centered a little over an hour away from both the Ionian Sea and the Tyrrhenian Sea. Β This historic property built in the early 1900’s for the Baroni Mazziotti holds enormous potential for renovation with possibilities of becoming a thriving Vineyard, Olive Orchard, Bed and Breakfast, or anything ones imagination can drum up

Saracena (Greek: Sarakine) is a town andΒ comuneΒ in the province ofΒ CosenzaΒ in theΒ CalabriaΒ region of southernΒ Italy. The town is bordered byΒ Altomonte,Β Castrovillari,Β Firmo,Β Lungro,Β Morano Calabro,Β Mormanno,Β OrsomarsoΒ andΒ San BasileΒ and is home to theΒ Church of San Leone, a 12th-century Byzantine church. The town’s patron isΒ San Leone di Catania, who is celebrated twice a year, once in the spring, then again in late summer.
Like Palermo and Tropea, Saracena was renowned for its souk (suk, or street market) during the period of Arab Sicily from the ninth century until the Normam Period, in which Arab-Sicilian influence remained strong up until 1200 AD.
