Food etiquette in Italy can be very different to what you’re used to, and tourists often come back with a sour taste in their mouth because they misinterpreted a situation at a restaurant, or didn’t get what they expected. A lot of the time there’s an explanation for the things that happen, and it comes down to culture clashes.
