Florence is more than just the Duomo! Today, we’re crossing the river to explore the Oltrarno. This neighborhood is the artisanal heart of the city, filled with historic workshops, incredible street food, and lush gardens.

Our day begins with a bit of nostalgia at a Fotoautomatica, one of the vintage photo booths scattered throughout the city. Then we head into the massive, royal greenery of the Boboli Gardens. We’ll take you through the vibrant Piazza Santo Spirito, grab a legendary lunch at Gustapanino, and experience the uniquely Florentine tradition of the wine windows (buchette del vino)!

We also stop by a local artist’s studio, CLET Studio, to see how Florence’s creative legacy lives on today, and we wrap up the perfect day with the most iconic views in Italy at Piazzale Michelangelo!

We’re taking you to:
– Fotoautomatica: Finding vintage photo booths in Florence
– Boboli Gardens: Exploring the Medici family’s backyard
– Piazza Santo Spirito: The local’s favorite spot for atmosphere and architecture
– Gustapanino: Is this the best panini in the Oltrarno?
– Wine Windows: How to get wine through a hole in the wall
– Artisan Culture: Visiting a cool street art workshop
– Piazzale Michelangelo: The ultimate panoramic view of the city

If you’re planning a trip to Italy, make sure to add the Oltrarno to your Florence itinerary!
