Pizza dough
Ingredients (makes 2 large pizzas):
600g flour (I use strong white or whole wheat bread flour)
Warm Milk 100ml
Warm water 270ml
7 gram yeast (1 sachet)
Salt 1tbsp
Sugar 1tsp
Olive oil 2 tbsp plus more for greasing the bowl
Instructions:
In a container, mix together the warm water, milk, sugar and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until it becomes foamy. In a large bowl, take flour and add salt to it. Then incorporate the yeast mixture into it. Knead the dough (as shown in the video) first in the bowl and then on a floured surface for at least 20 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic. Lightly grease a large bowl with olive oil. Place the dough in the bowl, turning to coat all sides. Cover with plastic wrap and set in a warm spot for about 2-4 hours, or until doubled in size. After the initial dough rise, portion or shape it and then leave it overnight for a final proofing.
