Went to Mod pizza once. The woman behind the counter was zoned out on who-knows-what chemical enhancers that when I told her I wanted a number 1, she had to get a manager to show her the menu on the wall 5 feet away with the ingredients displayed in 12 inch letters at eye level. When I took the disappointing pizza home, she got the ingredients wrong. People on drugs should not be in charge of other people's food.
The best is SHAKEY'S PIZZA. YUMMY. 😊❤

You knocking down pizza Uno an Giordano's says a lot about what you don't know about real Chicago pizza. There isn't one pizza chain out there better than real ny style pizza like Rey's pizza, and the two I mentioned Chicago pizzas. That's just the top of the top, that anyone can get for the garbage pizzas that are out there. Everything else out there is 💩 Digiorno spaghetti flavor pizza and frozen Walmart pizza period! The dough sucks, the sauce sucks, the sauce is mostly spaghettio flavor 💩 sauce, and the ingredients are rotten! I grew up eating pizza, and nobody will ever match the pizzas I have eaten all over the world, even the Italians can't make pizza like some other countries I have been to!! Just like these ridiculous chocolate connolis. Who TF said that connolis come with chocolate. Only Tony Soprano idiot came up with that idea! You want a real tasty supreme quality oven brick fire baked pizza come to my home! All you gen z rating these new chains get off the crack, and mushrooms, and loose the nose and lip ring! Yes, you should segment each pizza house when floating over timeline. But you are new and maybe a list showing time line when more is clicked. But, you are new.
So, where's the ranking??? This seems like more of a list of pizza joints that have lost the quality or whatever, not a ranking like the title says.
Here in New Haven we don't need chain pizzarias. We have Pepe's, Sally's, Modern, and a host more of great places, all different, but all excellent.

I loved going to Old Chicago, on Pearl Street, back in the early 90s. Sad to think that it's went downhill.
I'm from Atlanta and Mellow Mushroom is one of the best pizzas going. Once of the few locations where I'll order a non-meat pizza – the Holy Shiitake is top notch. I get half mushroom half House Special. Been eating their pizza since I was a child and as a senior citizen, I can agree that they haven't changed, just expanded. Note: While I can't get the original Detroit style, Jet's Pizza, which serves it in Georgia is the next best thing.
Cici's is the worst we have them in the south it is a sit-down Pizza buffet and it's trash!!

I lived in Chicago for a year in the early 80's. Gino's was the best deep dish. Stuft was the best stuffed pizza (had s middle layer of stuffing. I liked mozzarella and shredded spinach. Cheese, sauce, and other toppings on top. There eas a nearby place that did deep dish. The sauce had fennel in it
Too bad about Gino's. Gino's West; was always packed at lunchtime. They suddenly closed. Now I know why.

I love Mod Pizza, but to put it above Gino's East on a ranking list is probably either blasphemous or ignorance.

Many of these reviews are delusional! Chicago and New York have large Italian communities that make great pizza. Gino's East and Giordano's should have been ranked higher! No Lou Malnati's in the ranking? Rosati's is alright to good pizza but no mention better options like Vito and Nicks, Home Run Inn or Aurelios Pizza? I am not very familiar with New York Pizza, but what I have had is good , so I will make no judgment on it. Please rank good pizza where it belongs!
What is a New England pizza? Is Chicago style deep dish or Italian style? I have been to California Pizza a few times but not recently. It was okay. A Blaze location near me has closed. I went once and was impressed. None of the others seem to ne any where to where I live.

We used to have these places called Joppys, Shakespeare, Pappys and they were pizza joints that also served burgers and sandwiches, pitchers of cold beer etc. They had an old school saloon type feel with the player piano, and the waiters and waitress dressed in barbershop quartet get ups. BUT the pizza was this fresh dough masterpiece. Just unbelievable. Burger baskets were unbelievable too. We need a reboot of these type restaurants.

There used to be a deep-dish place called Pizza Peddler in Wichita KS that was excellent. Best I've ever had. I've never heard of most of your list. You may need to make a regional list, as I would love to try all the good pizzas in my area.

I think Applebees food is great so my standards are not high in fact if I say ‘food is bad’ then it probably means ‘extremely bad for most’
My 1-2 experiences with CPK were ‘bad’ so how did it get higher than Unos? Might have to try once more but if bad again it’s on my banlist!
Mellow Mushroom was great, I hated when they closed in my area.
