Did you know “Nonna” means grandma in Italian? Thanks to #AirbnbExperiences on @Airbnb, I met Nonna Nerina, a 83 year old Italian grandma who opens her kitchen to teach handmade pasta recipes to travelers. I thought I’d be cooking with one Italian grandma, but upon arrival I discovered I’d be cooking with four Italian grandmothers, learning to make handmade pasta no machine – fettuccine, gnocchi, ravioli. I’m thrilled to be partnering with Cooking on AirbnbExperiences, who sent me to this Rome cooking class.
Cooking with Nonna Nerina has become such a popular cooking class in Rome that it is growing with more nonnas around Italy wanting to teach authentic Italian handmade pasta to travelers.
Location: Palombara Sabina, its a cute medieval town located on a hilltop, about a 30 minute train ride from Central #Rome #Italy #PalombaraSabina
