Sharing the beauty and reality of everyday life in South Italy.

  1. Everywhere is the same: people built big apartment houses with multi-rooms for large families, but now when families are small, what to do with those giant apartments ?

  2. When you say kitchen fittings do you mean all of the cabinets were removed as well or just the stove, sink etc? I am a big fan of tile or wood floors. Carpeting is a germ collector and my time in the Uk I only rented flats with no carpeting. I am working on my Italian citizenship and your videos are helpful in giving me a sense of what real life is like

  3. Nice house! It'a appreciable that you want to shape your house to a specific era style, wherever possible.

  4. What about the heating? Radiators? Underfloor heating? – Is warm water centralized or do you have a boiler (electrical? In the bathroom?). – Are you happy with the electrical switches and outlets?
Is there a hallway? I'm asking because in some new apartments, in order to "save" space, you unfortunately go straight into the living room, as is common in US apartments.

  5. I don’t know why, it reminds me of some Brazilian houses in São Paulo (where I’m from). Maybe because of the huge amount of Italian immigrants in São Paulo? 😊

  6. One thing the Italians could never understand about the British….why they don't have bidets in Britain.

  7. The first time I visited my boyfriend’s parents home in northern Italy, I got stuck in the bathroom because their doors has a lock & key (instead of a thumb turn thing like the UK) which jammed. What lock does your bathroom have?

  8. Yes it's a pain in Italy they way they don't have a decent amount of wattage, in the UK electricians generally wire very well and have very high standards compared to say Italy, however I find Italian houses built very well compared to the UK. Nothing worse than walking on creaky cold Victorian wooden floors hear your neighbours in a semi detached because the insulation is so poor and radiators warming up you house, whilst you are generally cold no matter how high the heat is. British houses are just bricks with poor insulation and badly design

  9. If I bought a house with a fitted kitchen for sure I would change it straight away.. Kitchen is the most important room in a house, so I wanna choose the furniture, all the appliances, and I wanna have it bright new!

  10. Dear Madam , a couple of weeks ago I criticized you for your unfavorable comments and for the trash photos shown on your site. In fact, watching your various videos, I realized that you were not making negative publicity but only informing your followers. The filth with which the cities of Southern Italy and Rome are kept is a problem that no one has ever wanted to solve but it is certain that the mentality of the people who live there has also largely contributed. I am from Northern Italy but I am sorry to see these things that damage the image of my country. In any case, the purpose of this message of mine is to apologize for what I wrote to you previously and wish you a nice staying in Italy .
