Easy Tiramisu recipe
Tiramisu is a coffee-flavoured Italian dessert. It is made of ladyfingers dipped in coffee, layered with a whipped mixture of eggs, sugar, and mascarpone cheese, flavoured with cocoa.
Normally Tiramisu is made with some alcohol added but this recipe has no alcohol.
Ingredients:
600ml Heavy Whipping Cream
225g Mascarpone Cheese
110g Sugar
1 Tsp Vanilla Essence
1 Pack Sponge Fingers
3 Cups Water
2 tsp Vanilla Essence
1/2 tsp Coffee Essence
3 Tsp Instant Coffee
Unsweetened Cocoa powder for dusting
Instructions
* In a bowl combine water, vanilla essence, coffee essence and Instant Coffee.
* In a seperate bowl, beat whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla until soft peaks form. Do not over beat otherwise cream will become hard.
* Add in mascarpone cheese and beat till it is mixed. Again do not overbeat.
* Dip sponge fingers in coffee mixture and place in a dish to make the first layer. Don’t let them soak as they will fall apart, just a quick dunk in the coffee is enough. You can sprinkle some grated chocolate on the sponge fingers.
* Spread half of the whipped cream mixture on top of the first layer of sponge fingers. Repeat process with the second layer of sponge mixture and cream mixture.
* Dust the top of dessert with cocoa powder using a sieve. Refrigerate for about 2-4 hours and serve!!!!
