So you’re considering retiring in Naples Florida first of all I want to tell you that is a phenomenal decision my guess is you’ve probably visited Naples before you probably know people who have retired to Naples and have had a great story so that’s all great to make that

Decision but when you start looking at what is my home for retirement going to look like you may start wondering why are there so many options there are lots of different options here in Naples Florida and in this video we’re going to get to the top five best places to

Retire in Naples all right first on our list we’re going to be talking about one of the most prestigious communities in Naples actually started in the early 1980s and because of that actually has some of the most pristine beachfront in all of Naples and I’m talking about

Pelican Bay now Pelican Bay makes up over 3 miles of private beach front that is yours private beach access for the community and and there are over 2,300 Acres of space that this takes up and the location of this is west of us41 right on the Gulf of Mexico and there’s

A wide variety of things to do there’s a wide variety of real estate options for you and so really this is the quintessential Naples Community from my perspective and again from a real estate perspective you can look at condos from any anywhere about $400,000 up to single family homes in

Bay Colony for2 6 million so there’s a wide range and it fits most budgets that could happen in Naples and some of the Allure there are two separate tennis facilities there are two 18-hole golf courses within Pelican Bay you can dine right on the white sandy beaches of the Gulf of Mexico and

One of the two beach front structures that are there and there’s plenty of nature trails plenty of hiking there there’s just so much to do within the community but the location is phenomenal you’re right outside Waterside Shops and arctis Naples there’s a lot of fine dining nearby shopping Etc it really is

A quintessential place to retire in Naples now number two on our list is right in the heart of it all and we’re talking about old Naples now this is a different style you’re not going to have the amenities that you had in Pelican Bay but Pelican Bay is 7 7 and2 miles

North of old Naples and fifth Avenue in Third Street South and so this is where really the core of Naples is located and if you want more of the well I call the most urban lifestyle that you can have in Naples then old Naples would be right

For you in Old Naples obviously there’s a lot of beachfront here there’s also the ability to walk to so many fine dining uh restaurants that are in the area and it’s just a laidback lifestyle and so many people choose old Naples if they want that laid-back lifestyle they don’t need

Access within their Community to Golf and Tennis those types of things but they want to have their own Abode in one of the most historic and best places in all of Southwest Florida number three in our list is specifically for the golfers who are watching this video and if

You’re a golfer and location is important to you you’re going to want to consider gray Oaks gray Oaks is located right at airport polling Road and Golden Gate Parkway and it’s very close to downtown Naples very close to fth Avenue but there it’s luxury living in the

Heart of Naples where you don’t have to go far east to get into a country club now there are three signature 18ho courses within gray Oaks and so when you become a member you are a member at all three and that’s just part of the equation lots of different housing

Options in gry Oaks but the star of the show R from my perspective is the fitness facility it’s a 30,000 s ft fitness facility I have never in my life been in a nicer fitness facility than what gry Oaks has to offer couple that with the tennis the dining and just the

Overall Clubhouse the experience is nothing short of extraordinary so if you want the luxury life with access to three different golf courses within your community all while being in a great location gray Oaks is one that you’ll definitely want to consider next on our list is the moing and the moing is

Really the boaters Paradise that’s where you want to go if you want waterfront property but you’re not looking to pay Port Royal or aqualane Shores prices there are a lot of residential opportunities where you can be on the water now it still doesn’t come cheap but there are great options in the moins

For Waterfront now there is a golf course there is a Morin uh the moin country club but that is a par 63 you know shorter not as much real estate that’s available it’s not a gated community so you can do a lot more custom things with your home you don’t

Have the overarching rules of being in that kind of a homeowners association you also have private beach access in the mornings so it’s a really great Community if you’re into boating want that private beach access and if you want golf but you’re not that serious about golf that’s a really good option

In the mornings now number five on our list might be a little bit controversial and here’s why it’s not technically Naples it’s a little bit South but it’s an island and you know when we think about retirement who doesn’t want to live on an island somewhere and well

Let’s call it like it is in Southwest Florida Marco Island is a phenomenal option and so Marco Island is about 24 square miles of real estate and it’s part of the 10,000 islands that go down through the Everglades and it’s actually the only one that is developed now now

On Marco Island you have lots of different Beach options you’ve got tiger taale Beach South Marco Beach this beautiful white sand and it really is some of the best water that we have here in Southwest Florida in the Gulf of Mexico because we’re as far away as we

Can be from the Kusa hatchee river which is up in Fort Meers and the water really clears out and it’s usually Crystal beautiful blue now from a real estate perspective you have lots of different options you’ve got luxurious Waterfront boating opportunity you’ve got luxurious Waterfront condominium living and then you have

Some other options that are on the more affordable scale and so you can see why you get some of the island living you get access to nearby uh Naples and all the restaurants that go there and there are also a lot of good dining options on

Marco Island as well so if being on an island and having a retirement home on an island has always been your thing you may want to consider Marco Island now as always this is not an all-inclusive list there are are lots of different options and the reality is choosing one of the

Many and just say here’s our top five that’s sort of hard to do because depending on what you’re looking for there may be the top five golfing communities that you want to choose from and so this was meant to give you a good overview of Naples and some of the best

Options that we have here but if you want to explore further reach out you can reach out directly in the comments below and me and my team will be happy to help you figure out where that ultimate retirement place will be have a blessed day thanks

  1. Naples is insanely over populated. The traffic is insane, you can't get on the beaches or in the restaurants. The only time you can do those things is in the middle of the summer.

  2. I agree with Craig Rose- the over development has made Naples lose much of its charm. The insane traffic and the builders building on every square inch has made it not such a great place- some have called it the new Miami!

  3. Other water front communities often overlooked in Naples that are up the north end of the Gordon river. Nature point community, Coconut River estates , Manatee point and bears paw.

In regards to traffic . Yes Naples traffic is horribly managed. They need to fire all the executives in charge of traffic in Naples. Its like they never heard of timing and coordinating traffic lights. Also they city needs to ticket people that drive right next to each other below the speed limit and prevent anyone from safely passing them, that further hinders traffic flow.

I honestly don't think traffic would be that bad if the city managed it better and took proactive measures to reduce the herd of drivers impeding traffic especially during off peak hours. Often time if you make it passed the herd of drivers young and old alike its open roads.
