They pretty much go hand-in-hand. On our recent trip to Italy we wanted two things:
1) To eat some delicious food and not worry about how much pasta or gelato we were consuming; and
2) To make sure we steered clear of the tourist traps and found out where the locals ate. The best way to do both seemed to be taking a food tour.
