We decided to try this Filipino Restaurant, (not the usual TAPSILOGAN Filipino resto) which opened its doors just last year… So having said that it is also an excuse to have a dinner and also to celebrate, (late celebration) my dearest friend’s birthday.
Mabuhay is a Filipino greeting, usually expressed as Mabuhay!,
The phrase carries various meanings including “long live”, “may you live”, “cheers”, “welcome”, from the root word “buhay”.
Truly Mabuhay restaurants deserved and worked hard to get to the Top 5 among more than 7000 restaurants in the city of Milan Italy, gaining 80-90% of non Filipinos clients… the secret?!.. Simplicity and freshness of the ingredients mix with passion and dedication of the owners.
Authentic and traditional dishes are being served, while some are modernly twisted with a glimpse of Japanese to embrace this cosmopolitan city of Milan.
Highly and strongly recommended and definitely I will come back with some of my Italian friends to have a taste of my country, perfectly and genuinely presented by this restaurant.
If I could suggest, since the target clients are not only Filipinos and Italy is famous for a large variety of wines, I believe an excellent glass of Italian wine can perfectly clasp our Filipino dishes!
….and what else?! MABUHAY!
