During Expo 2015, the City of Milan promoted a pact between cities around the world, known as the Milan Urban Food Policy Pact, which now unites 163 mayors in the creation of sustainable urban food policies. In Italy, 19 cities have signed the pact and many of these are developing innovative solutions against food waste. This panel welcomes representatives from the Italian cities of Milan, Rome, Turin, Genoa, Modena and Cremona to share their experiences implementing waste reduction programs into the food system.
