A beloved Durham restaurant is expanding for the first time in years with a new Italian concept.
The owners of Pomodoro Italian Kitchen will open a new restaurant in the Latta Park development in North Durham.
Building on their reputation for casual Italian-American dishes, owners Carlo and Josephine Finazzo plan to open Compa Pizza & Pasta in the new development.
“Compa is a Sicilian expression that means brotherhood or best friend, and that’s the foundation of everything we’re creating,” said Josephine, co-owner of Compa. “We’re excited to bring Durham a welcoming neighborhood restaurant centered around handmade pasta, pizza and genuine hospitality. Latta Park felt like the perfect home because of its strong sense of community, and we look forward to becoming a place where neighbors gather, connect and feel like family.”
