Veeno has announced it will open its doors at the Treadmills development in Northallerton on Thursday, October 15, bringing Italian wines, food and tasting experiences to the former prison site.
The venue will be run by local franchisee Chris Fernandes and will occupy Unit 7 at the leisure development on East Road.

Veeno first revealed plans to open in Northallerton earlier this year and has now begun taking bookings ahead of its launch.
Mr Fernandes said he was looking forward to welcoming customers after what he described as a strong response to the announcement.
He said: “It’s exciting to finally have a date to share with Northallerton.
“We’ve had a fantastic response since announcing Veeno, and the team is looking forward to welcoming people through the doors on October 15.

“Whether it’s a glass of wine after work, a meal with friends or a celebration, we want to create a destination people enjoy coming back to.”
Sicilian entrepreneur Nino Caruso founded Veeno to showcase wines from his familyās Caruso and Minini vineyard in Marsala, Sicily.
Founded in Manchester in 2013, Veeno now operates venues across the UK, serving Italian wine, food and tasting experiences inspired by Sicilian winemaking.

The Northallerton venue will offer a menu including Italian sharing boards, Roman style pinsa, fresh pasta and Sicilian inspired dishes, alongside cocktails and wines sourced from the family vineyard and other Italian producers.
Customers will also be able to book guided tasting experiences, including a four wine tasting paired with Italian meats and cheeses, as well as a Sicily themed experience featuring five wines from the Caruso and Minini range served with matching food.

Italian afternoon tea will also be available.
To celebrate the opening, Veeno is running a competition giving one winner and a guest the chance to visit Sicily and tour the Caruso and Minini vineyard in Marsala.
Entries will be accepted through the venue’s newsletter until October 31.
Bookings for the new Northallerton venue are now open.
