On Saturday morning, the festival will resume with a car show at 9 a.m.

Saturday’s activities will also include a raffle, silent auction, vendor booths and an array of food including meatball sandwiches, sausage sandwiches, cannolis, beer and wine.

This year’s event coordinator, Patrick Karch, says highlighting Italian culture is important to recognize the way different communities add to society.

“When our relatives came in, it was hard for them, just like it is for folks coming in today,” he said. “It’s been like that for every group, and what every group brings to our society is strength and unity from all over the globe.”

Karch says Paesano Days allows people to experience that firsthand, from a classic Italian dinner to an Italian game of bocce.
