Say “ciao” to an afternoon of Italian immersion at Festa-Italiana IV. For one day, Wall Street will be taken over by all things Italian.
Festa-Italiana IV runs Saturday, September 19, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The American Italian Club of Spokane is hosting the celebration of Italian culture and food on Wall Street between Spokane Falls Blvd and Main Avenue.
The event will also raise scholarship funds for the American-Italian Club of Spokane’s Sister City Exchange, which supports student exchange opportunities between Spokane and its Italian sister city, Cagli.
The festival features authentic Italian food, live music, a spaghetti eating contest, local beer and wine, a miniature Leaning Tower of Pisa, and opportunities to connect with the region’s Italian American community.
“Festa-Italiana is a chance for everyone in Spokane to experience a little bit of Italy right here in downtown,” organizers say. “Come be Italian, at least for the day!”
Beer lovers can look forward to a special co-brew created by Whistle-Punk Brewing and Birrificio del Catria, representing the Italian communities of Cantiano and Cagli. The event will also feature a selection of Italian and Washington wines.
