A struggling Italian restaurant is running out of time, and Chef Robert Irvine has just 36 hours to turn things around.
In this intense episode of Restaurant Impossible, Robert confronts a restaurant plagued by outdated décor, frozen ingredients, bland food and serious leadership problems. With the business losing money and the owners under immense financial pressure, Robert knows that changing the menu alone won’t be enough.
Robert overhauls the kitchen, replacing processed and pre-packaged ingredients with fresh, scratch made Italian favourites, including homemade sauces, fresh meatballs and elevated seafood dishes. He also challenges the owner to stop micromanaging, trust his staff and become the leader the restaurant needs.
Meanwhile, designer Cheryl Torrenueva and the renovation team have just 36 hours and a $10,000 budget to transform the cramped dining room and its distinctive train caboose into a warmer, more inviting Italian restaurant.
