Naples is probably the worst city in Italy, thanks to the Camorra clans. You should go to Scampia and see just how terrible it is. Bring a firearm and arrange for a QRF.
Unfortunately Naples and surrounding areas are pretty undeveloped and different compared to the rest of the country. Too many scammers, lack of good services and constant sense to be unsafe even if it's all ok. Weird place but some people are fantastic and it's a very historic city.

Napoli is probably one of the worst cities in italy. Which is a shame, because it could be one of the best. But it's too dirty and, yeah, scammy. A lot of people are weird, guys drive like crazy in the middle of pedestrians. IDK if a lot of people die or are injured, but it wouldn't surprise me.
Hopefully you didn't drive because that's yet another adventure.
I was very disapointed by pizzas. I ate way better ones in other places and countries.
