17 euro is a fair price for all that fruit and vegetable.
In this scorching Summer you wanna eat only that anyway. 🫠😄
Nice colorful dress.
I guess your boyfriend must have cooked that fiorentina steak perfectly.
The new camera has really brought out the glowing of your skin the prices where very reasonable much better than the UK and better quality it would have been interesting to see how are the bakery prices as well

Hi Claire. Great video today. I really love seeing people
That share their food shop. Glad you went to Lidl because that Pasta from Sicily has given me an idea: I wonder if they have it here at Lidl near my house in Tuscany. I haven’t been to Lidl for ages because of my health problems linked to my mobility. Another thing here is that all supermarkets are under the flaming sun with no shade anywhere. So I tend to go to a supermarket that has the car park on the ground floor where there is no sun. I take the lift with my trolley to the first floor in the lift. The trolley gives me stability with my walking. So it works great for my personal safety. But I will venture to Lidl for the Sicilian pasta. I just hope they have it. I have had that kind of pasta before but on rare occasions. I want to try the Sicilian oven pasta. And the other one you got. Your Fiorentina looked really great! I am sure you both enjoyed it!
Food shop price: So I live in Tuscany and I am a little bit forced to go to one supermarket for convenience for my mobility and not to leave my car in the in the sun.
I am one person unless my children come so my shop is based on a one person food shop. I spend around € 35 to € 45.00 per shop. Every 10 days. I try to keep it to 150 per month sometimes less and sometimes more. I get my bread locally and bits and bobs if I need them. I have to get my meat at the supermarket for parking and mobility reasons. I can’t avoid that at the moment. I do go on certain days when there are e offers so I can stock up on certain things. And definitely if they have offers on wine and beer.
This week I spend € 49.00 because there were no offers on most of the things I got. But 10 days ago the same shop more or less cost me around €35.00 but I had old credits where I could get cash back on top of so many special offers on that week. That was a satisfying shop!
Sometimes you spend more because of a treat like you did had to his week or because you have the kids round with their partners.
Although we tend to go out for lunch because they are always free in the day time in their jobs. Like the odd half day off or their free day but they are always on call at night so best is to go to lunch. I just go to a bar restaurant near my son’s house where the mamma/nonna cooks fantastic home cooking dishes including fish on Friday. Seafood pasta and a fish secondo. Price is very reasonable. On a normal
day and nice plate of mezze maniche alla
Sorrentina = € 7.00 and a quarto di rosso = € 2.00. Total: € 9.00! If I am out that is more than enough for me for lunch. On a Friday in 4 of us, all fish based + dessert = € 70.00. Not bad for fresh fish dishes in a restaurant room. It doesn’t look like a bar. You can eat on the terrace if you like but in this heat I prefer to eat in the restaurant room.
Great episode Claire. Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
buon appetito!!!!!!!!!!!! Io vado alla conad, e anche se è un po' cara, mi sono sempre trovato bene
ery helpful content. What items surprised you the most price-wise?
Thank you for the e-book! Your shopping was very well priced!
As a hummus addicted I'd like to suggest to make it on your own. Until we will have Marks&Spencer in Italy too, finding a good quality hummus is very difficult, but here's the good news, it takes only 10 min to have a fresh made, good tasting hummus, you only need a checkpeas jar, thaine, a lemon and a mixer and that's it. Strongly recommended
Hi Claire, such a useful video! I always enjoy watching what people buy and imagining what they’re going to cook with it. 😊
That Fiorentina steak looks absolutely delicious!!
