On June 9, 2026, the Agricultural Business Forum brought together institutions, producers and leading wine professionals for a full day of tastings and new business connections.
Organized by the Italian Trade Agency in collaboration with Veronafiere/Vinitaly, the event took place during the official visit of Italy’s Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forests, Francesco Lollobrigida, with the participation of South Africa’s Minister of Agriculture, John Steenhuisen.
The masterclass “Thirteen Italian Estates, Two Masters of Wine,” led by Richard Kershaw MW and Andrea Lonardi MW, guided guests through 13 wines representing the richness, diversity and distinctive identity of Italian wine.
The day continued with a walk-around tasting and a Gala Dinner at Idiom Wines Restaurant, Da Capo Vineyards, offering further opportunities to connect Italian producers with key stakeholders from South Africa and across the African continent.
