20 jumbo pasta shells
2 cups ricotta cheese
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (divided)
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 egg
2 cups marinara sauce
1 lb (450g) ground beef or Italian sausage (optional)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt and black pepper to taste
Fresh basil or parsley for garnish

Instructions
Cook the pasta shells
Boil shells according to package instructions until al dente.
Drain and let cool.

Prepare the filling
In a bowl, mix ricotta, 1 cup mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

Make the sauce
Brown the ground beef or sausage in a skillet.
Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
Stir in marinara sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.

Stuff the shells
Fill each shell with the cheese mixture.

Assemble
Spread half the sauce in a baking dish.
Arrange stuffed shells on top.
Pour remaining sauce over shells.
Sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella cheese.

Bake
Cover with foil and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25 minutes.
Remove foil and bake for another 10 minutes until golden and bubbly.

Serve
Garnish with fresh basil or parsley and enjoy!
