WE LOVE A WIN! ๐ Huge shoutout to the subscriber who used our template to status-match their NCL Sapphire level and ended up with an extra $750 in onboard credit! Thatโs exactly why we make these videos.
Don't forget Oceania has a referral program, the details are here: https://www.oceaniacruises.com/ambassador
If you are NEW to Oceania, you can get $200 credit on your booking; and if you are a current Oceania sailor, you can refer others to get $200 credit towards your sailing! Let us know if we can help.
Question for the experts: For those of you who have sailed Oceania since the 'Adults Only' change, have you noticed a shift in the vibe on board? And what's the first thing youโre spending that extra OBC on?
Thank you so much for this detailed videoโค So much information and the AMEX perk i totally forgot. Glad you mentioned it. Is it mandatory to book with amex as it says on their homepage or will they add it even when u book directly with a consultant form Oceania? Thank you
Do they have a hot spa? Is it free?
I really like the new Adults only rule. That is one of the main reasons I booked Oceania. I traveled on the Regatta from Pepeete to LA in 2022. I loved the cruise and the excursions. Iโve booked Oceania for 2028 Barcelona to Rome. We liked the itinerary with the stop in Monaco. This was the only itinerary to offer that port. We get to spend Easter in Rome. It should be an amazing experience.
Wow! Thank you for the wonderful tips!!! We are cruising in a penthouse in July! Best believe we will have a lot of specialty dining sent to our room. What a great tip!
Great video. We were also on the Lima to San Diageo cruise on Vista. Also from Phoenix (well Prescott). Great cruise.
All things considered, this cruise line caters to a specific type of cruiser, similar to the way Virgin operates, with similar benefits, handled two very different ways..
Lots of good information. A little light on things like Artist Loft (if it's continuing) and Aquamar Kitchen and pizzeria, but perhaps that's because they're not on all ships. But I usually don't look at videos or articles on Oceania, as we have quite a few under our belt, and already know a lot. But this was more detailed that most….thanks.
As for the shore excursion package, I might add that to get that 25% off for the required number of excursions (in our case, 5), you probably need to call Oceania to get the discount reflected correctly on the online system. — or at least *I* had to! So for my fifth excursion, I had my travel agent book it.
You don't pronounce the g in concierge?
Ridiculously complicated rules! Just book Viking!!
What I am unclear on is whether, if you have a suite that includes 6 bottles of alcohol, does that mean that this is the only alcohol included? More specifically, would someone be charged when dining at a ship restaurant and have to pay for that cocktail? Similar if yoy have butler service and you want a special cocktail prepared, such as a martini, etc. Are you charged additionally for this because you did not make it yourself?
Very Well Done!!!!
Very helpful thank you ๐
Wow – even better than the 2025 version! So, so helpful. You are amazing for so efficiently presenting a ton of information. No fluff at all.
Next up, picking a room?!!
Nice video, very well done and great information – thank you
I know you didnโt travel solo, but does this cruise line have solo meet ups and does the host or hostess book a group solo table at the dining room or some of the specialty restaurants?
They had that on some of the other cruise lines Iโve been on and I really enjoyed it as a way of meeting people and then I could go to my cabin or a quiet lounge chair if I wanted quiet time
Thank you. There's so much to remember. They've made it so difficult how do you have fun?
Interestingly, we booked the Allura 2026 westbound transatlantic cruise plus the prior Mediterranean cruise (25 days) last summer for this November. At that time, our TA told us they werenโt offering either the excursion credit or wines at dinner. Very weird, because now they are. However, that same PH cabin is now $1,900 more than last August, so thatโs how much more they are charging for those less valuable choices. But our TA works for a large cruise broker, and she gives us $1,800 OBC!! So we donโt care what extra money we spend on wine and a few other drinks. And we have already chosen and paid for our 7 excursions to get the 25% discount, which made them much more affordable. We found out on the Vista in 2024 how hard it is to cancel excursions when I had a bad cold, plus we hadnโt paid attention to the dates on our excursion tickets.
Thank you so much, we are seasoned cruisers, but will take our first Oceania cruise in January '27 out of Panama City aboard Marina. We are looking forward to it, especially
with the knowledge gained from your video.
I think the quality of the food has declined significantly since the company was taken over by NCL Also some of the staff are not as pleeasant as they were. We previously sailed on Insignia & a couple of times on Marina before NCL took Oceania over. The quality of food was superb & the staff were amazing.
A couple of years ago we sailed on Sirena & I can say the meal I had in Red Ginger was the worst I've had on any cruise ship & the service was dire!
The Terrace Cafe food and presentation was nowhere near the standards we experienced on Marina or Insignia a few years ago. Howver with the exception of one male member of staff who was a miserable chap the ladies serving there were absolutely delightful.
Sadly we won't be sailing with Oceania again.
Extremely helpful video. Wife and I are looking to do our first Oceania cruise.
Thank you for all the information. We are experienced cruisers, but this is our first time on Oceania.
Oceania, once and done for us…
Just got home from 16 day trans Atlantic cruise. Biggest complaint was lack of variety in food. Same breadbasket EVERY NIGHT (even in specialty restaurants). Very poor variety in soup and appetizers. NOT finest cuisine at sea!
Nicely done.
We are just off the Panama/Miami sailing on Insignia. For those who haven't sailed with Oceania before, or it's been a few years, just know that the Your World Your Way is still not fully understood by all Oceania personnel. Many ship personnel have been with Oceania for years and they are still getting the old program of simplyMORE and the new Your World Your Way programs confused when it comes to wine/beer buy the glass and/or cocktails. We booked this sailing directly with Oceania and selected the By The Glass offering, clearly spelled out in our booking and which we paid for. At the first dinner I asked for a By The Glass wine and was then presented with a $17.80 bill for the wine. This lead to days of confrontations with various levels of ship staff, including a Oceania General Manager who happened to be on the sailing. This particular GM finally admitted Oceania has not done as good of a job explaining the new program to personnel, especially when I pointed out another ship officer stated to me and my husband (rather explicitly) "there are absolutely NO free drinks or beer or wine on ANY Oceania cruise!"
There were other smaller issues with the Your World Your Way program on this sailing but there were also many, many Oceania personnel on the ship who have been with Oceania more than 10 years. It does sound as if Oceania still has some training to do.
Unless you want to have a drink with every meal, do not sign up for any of the "beverage" packages on Oceania. Just pay as you go and save yourself a huge headache.
you forgot to mention,,,,that you can always go and request changes to specialty dinning … and …. even EXTRA visits over the ones they initially allow you…AFTER youve used your first one. all depends on availability…..
Waitlisted to On the excursion w/o notice?
33K views on a 7.5K sub channel is impressive, clearly there's a big gap in updated Oceania Cruises content and you filled it at exactly the right time.
The thing with videos like this is they keep getting searched long after upload because people are always in the booking research phase for cruises. WanderBoost could help capture more of that by turning this into a proper destination page that shows up on Google and in AI tools when people are researching Oceania. Have you thought about how to keep pulling in that search traffic as more people start planning their 2026 cruises?
