She only drinks Rombauer Chardonnay and Caymus Cabernet. For 12 years. Nothing else. So I challenged her to a blind tasting — and what happened next changed everything.
In this video, a wine expert goes head-to-head with “The Brand Repeater” — a wine drinker so locked into her comfort zone that she calls ahead to Costco to make sure they have Rombauer in stock before she drives there. She prints nothing, tries nothing, and trusts nothing outside her two safe bottles.
But here’s the twist: when I poured her three Chardonnays blind — including a $28 bottle she’d never heard of — she picked it over her beloved Rombauer. And she had no idea.
This video covers:

→ Caymus Cabernet — is it worth $90-$100?
→ How to break out of your wine rut without wasting money

Why did the Rombauer Chardonnay break up with the red wine?
Because it needed a little space to "chill" and felt the red was just too "heavy"!
Great video!
