  1. Dean Martin was famously a man of simple, classic tastes—both in life and at the table.
While there isn’t a single officially documented “favorite meal,” people who knew him and various biographies consistently point to a few things he loved:
Spaghetti and meatballs – a nod to his Italian heritage (his birth name was Dino Crocetti).
Steak dinners – especially when dining out in Las Vegas during his Rat Pack years.
Italian home-style cooking – including dishes like lasagna and pasta with red sauce.
And of course, he was often associated with a glass of whiskey or bourbon (though he didn’t always drink as much as his on-stage persona suggested).
Among these, spaghetti and meatballs is most often cited as the closest thing to a “favorite,” reflecting both comfort and tradition.

  2. I almost tuned out at the end but that music to close it out was so cool! Great recipe, too, btw.

  3. I remember my mother would make this for me as a kid in the 70's. I think I'm going to have to make a nostalgic dinner soon. 🤤

  4. Man oh man, that is awful. Anyway, I always thought Dean Martin’s favorite dish was a dry martini from sunup to sundown

  5. I’m sorry but it seems like a waste of steak to me. A good steak only needs salt and pepper on it. Well, perhaps some sautéed onions and mushrooms on the side. My brother puts ketchup on his steak. Makes me want to cry every time! Your recipe does look nice though. 🙏🏻
