I want to start by apologizing for taking a little time to get this one posted—this review goes back to November 2025 when Texas Tech Red Raiders took on UCF Knights.
But honestly, I still had to share this one 💯
The love we received from the students, Raider fans, and the restaurant owners and staff out in Lubbock was real—and truly appreciated.
Me and my friend Lisa (both alumni of Texas Tech University) decided to tap back in, catch a game, and revisit two spots that were a big part of our college experience:
🍔 Spanky’s
🍝 One Guy from Italy
Even though we were at Tech at different times, we both agreed—these spots are part of the real student culture out there.
So me, Lisa, and her kids pulled up to the game, hit both restaurants, and had an amazing time. This one was all about memories, good food, and great vibes 🔥

Oh—and Tech had a solid football season in 2025 too 👀🏈
