Signature Beef Stew
This is the culmination of years of experimenting with beef stew recipes—perfected to tender, savory, and hearty perfection. Rich chunks of beef, tender vegetables, and a flavorful broth make this a dish everyone asks for.
Ingredients
2–3 lbs beef (sirloin or any stewing cut), cut into bite-sized cubes
2–3 large carrots, chopped
1 onion, chopped
1–2 cloves garlic, minced
1 bell pepper, chopped
1 zucchini, chopped
3–4 potatoes, peeled and diced
4 cups beef or chicken stock (or 4 tsp chicken bouillon + 4 cups water)
1/4 cup red wine
1 1/2 cups tomato sauce
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1–2 tbsp Dorchester sauce (adjust to taste)
Olive oil for sautéing
Spices (to taste):
Salt & pepper
Texas rub
Chili powder
Everything Dash spice
Italian seasoning
Garlic powder
Instructions
Prep ingredients: Chop all vegetables and set aside. Peel and dice the potatoes. Cut the beef into cubes.
Brown the beef: Heat a bit of olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add beef and sauté until browned, about 5–6 minutes. Remove beef and set aside, leaving the browned bits in the pot.
Sauté vegetables: Add all vegetables except the potatoes to the pot. Season with your spices and sauté for 3 minutes.

Add sauces and wine: Stir in Worcestershire sauce, red wine, and tomato sauce. Cook for 1–2 minutes to let flavors meld.
Combine and simmer: Return the beef to the pot along with the potatoes. Pour in the stock. Increase heat to high and bring to a boil.
Cook low and slow: Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 2 hours, stirring occasionally, until beef is tender and the flavors are rich and melded.
Serve and enjoy: Ladle into bowls and enjoy a comforting, hearty meal that everyone will ask for again!
