The beans could be old but dont salt them until they are fully cooked. The salt keeps them hard. Sometimes adding a little baking soda will tenderize old beans. Anyway looks delicious. ❤❤

I think pressure cooking saves fuel and time.. like we do in India. We use pressure cooker for most of lentils. Just a suggestion
