Italian Beef The Brooklyn Way.

While there are many beef sandwiches to pick from in NYC, it’s a rare occasion to have a truly midwestern great on your plate.

That’s exactly what you will find at Bobbis Italian Beef in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn and the owner Jason stops at nothing to be a complete purist.

In all honesty, we didnโ€™t expect this to hit as hard as it did but we heard good things and it more than delivered. It seems like we have a knack for finding great sandwiches outside of their home cities because Bobbiโ€™s can hang with the big boys back in Chicago.

  1. Does the bread get soggy ? Like if I ordered it and drove across town , then ate it 15 minutes later will the bread be mush by then?

  2. Wow. That looks good. Thank you for sharing. Stay blessed. I wish, I had a key and a vat of that au jus to go with that bread every morning.

  3. I grew up in Brooklyn, NY from 63-82, i miss the greasy spoon Delis with the Hot Roast beef simmering in the Au Jaus โค & Wed. Wed. Was the Carved Turkey off the bone simmering in Giblet gravy day ๐ŸŽ‰ & the Roast pork in a pork gavy was the best โคโค ๐Ÿ™ƒ…& they wrapped your large sandwich in Aluminum foil wich fused everything, steamed broth bread ๐Ÿ˜ฎ …& a sliced dill pickle thrown in for good measure ๐Ÿ’ช
& of course the sabrett hot dogs cooked with the day befores dirty water ๐Ÿซ‚..๐Ÿ™

  4. A Chicago Italian beef is a gastronomical work of art
Lots of people want steaks or lobster as their last meal
Give a a good Chicago style Italian beef and a Chicago dog as a chaser

Maybe a shot of Malort and an old style to wash it all down

    Yum

  6. I saw the Vienna sign and I'm guessing they have good hot dogs there too. I'd take one of those beef sandwiches too but I do like mine sliced a little thinner.
