travel vlog: FLORENCE, ITALY + TUSCANY & CINQUE TERRE day trips!!

I’m ready to be back in Florence, and the beautiful Tuscan countryside!! This stop on our Italy trip was my absolute favorite. We for sure packed in as much exploring as we could and I think we did an amazing job… of course thanks to Get Your Guide!!

This region of Italy was so breathtaking from the wine region all the way to the mediterranean coast, a 10/10 experience!

hello guys and welcome back to the
travel Vlogs we are officially in
Florence in and I am seriously screaming
internally we have four nights here
we’ve got a couple day trips planned and
truthfully I am just looking forward to
such good food and just beautiful views
but anyways we are staying at Grand
Hotel cavor I’ll have it linked down
below for you guys I’ll give you a quick
room tour okay behind me is the front
door then we have this little area which
I believe is a
closet then we have a mirror which I
love behind me we have our
bathroom super cute and then over here
is our bed we have a little couch s
suitcase area a little desk TV and then
we have a miniature balcony just made a
statement and I wanted him to share it
with you guys about the pizza place that
we’re going to also while we were in um
Venice Odell decided to choose all of
our food options for Florence so all
these food decisions have been made by
Odell um but what did you say about the
pizza place we’re going to you it’ll be
the most popular one that everybody goes
to which is called gusta pizza oh gusta
Pizza okay so that’s that’s where we’re
going going is gooa pizza um so let you
know how it

is okay so while Del waights in the line
I’m going to walk around and just see if
I can find a coffee shop cuz I would
love some coffee right now and then I’ll
finish that have some pizza and I’ll be

perfect okay so I didn’t find any coffee
but I did stumble across like a little
Farmers Market SL like vendor market and
there are such cute things here if I
don’t leave here with something I might
be a little bit sad um but I guess I’m
going to find coffee later because
Odell’s in the line and I feel like he’s
getting close so I’m going to go hang
back out with him and then after I hope
this farmers market is still here so
that I can come back and explore some

more all right you guys we just finished
up at pizza and my personal rating for
it is an
8.8 out of 10 I think the sauce was so
so good the cheese felt super like fresh
I don’t even really know how to explain
it but the pizza was amazing your rating
8.9 8.9 and you were saying something
about the Neapolitan situation yeah it’s
just as good of a margarita Neapolitan
style pizza that you can get I feel like
it it’s a 10 out of 10 on that scale but
for my personal scale it’s like an 89
they didn’t have a the aola option oh
yeah that’s like pepperoni pretty much
so you just got a margarita pizza yep

update on the beautiful Church behind us
I only stood on the outside to see
inside because you cannot be show
showing your shoulders your legs have to
be covered which mine are but I do not
comply with the shoulder rues so I do if
I want to go into to any of the churches
around here I have to like have a cover
up on well there you guys have it I did
see it from the outside and it was
beautiful I showed you guys on the

star I vlog we’re sleeping on the
hardest mattress of the
trip maybe it’s good for my
back pleas not wrong the mattresses are
definitely harder than what we’re used
to but I think that’s just like across
the board in Europe if I believe but
anyways we are done with dinner and it
is exactly what I was craving I wanted a
red sauce pasta and the pasta it was a
spaghetti and it was literally just a
fresh spaghetti red sauce pop pasta so
good so good um and then obviously I
started with the brusa with bataa on top
of it which I’ve never seen before but
it was amazing and I had myself a glass
of wine but honestly the restaurant was
really good it was literally just like
across from our hotel which is why we
chose it yeah that’s a wrap on today
tomorrow we have a day trip to the wine
region to the Tuscany Countryside and I
am so excited but that will start I
believe around like 2 so we have all of
the morning of tomorrow to explore so I
will see you guys in the morning good
morning Vlog we are on our way to go
have some breakfast and some more
American breakfast if you will because
honestly I’m a breakfast girly and I
need more than just a croissant for
breakfast then we have our Winery our
Tuscany Countryside and these are our
fits Don I just finished at breakfast
and we were like you know what let’s
casually stroll in to the cedal um
however there’s a line like I’ve never
seen before and I just wanted to show
you guys I think it’s currently like
about maybe like around 12 um so either
we’re going to come back at nighttime
after dinner or we’re just going to wake
up as early as possible either tomorrow
or the next day because there’s no way
I’m waiting in this line um but take a
look

and that you guys is where the line ends
it is actually insanely long I think it
grew from the the time that we walk to
the front of the line to the back of the
line yeah we’ll try and let you guys
know when’s the best time to go but I
assume either really early in the
morning or the evening I guess but
definitely not in the middle of the day
by any means

my we just finished walking through the
Central Market and I have been wanting
to get some genuine leather since we’ve
been here because Italy is known for
their leather production and it being
genuine leather but anyways I have a
little story for you this Market is kind
of known for like you go up to it they
give you a price you kind of haggle with
them a little bit I got a little
keychain this is my favorite color blue
it’s so cute it says genuine leather in
Italy the original price for it was €6
and I have tled them down to €4 but then
I had to pay with card so I ended up
being a
€4.50 for my little keychain and I’m so
happy about it

really all right Vlog we just finished
having some some wine and we are in
sanano something like that honestly I
don’t really know exactly how to
pronounce it but we’re at the vineyard
right now and it is so stunning so
beautiful we just had two Reds a white
and a rosé the white was incredible but
I wanted to give you guys a little tip
that if you are to buy this anywhere
else if you’re in the US they I believe
they do sell the wine from here in the
US but if you’re here and you want to
try and buy it somewhere else like in
maybe like the town of Florence then you
have to make sure that it has a rooster
a black rooster on it then there’s a
label on like the neck of the bottle
that says d o CG and that is how you
will tell if it’s an authentic true
bottle from Chianti it’s like the wine
region um but anyways this is stop
number one we’re about to get back on
the bus go to stop number two I don’t
know exactly where it is also this is
family-owned and it is so cool cuz it’s
like many many many Generations back the
guy that helped us today from the winery
he is so funny and definitely a big
personality so totally recommend you
guys come here um we booked on get your
guide as you guys know if you’ve been
following my journey Odell and I love to
book on gety guide so I will try and
have the exact um gety guide ticket
situation down below for
you the three steel fermentates that we
have behind you is actually one of the
most important things you can check at a
winery this tells you that you’re not at
the Disneyland of wineries this is not
just set up for tourism this is the
actual production house where we are
actually producing the vermentino grape
so come on the side of the
barrers everything that we do with our
grapes to the toar that we grow on to
even the barrels that we use are all
controlled by the government we are a
docg winery we have about 580 different
rules I control what we do with our wine
but for me specifically it boils down to
three major rules the first one with a
Tian wine it actually dictates that you
actually have to own the land underneath
the grapes in order to produce the wine
never been to Vineyards where you see
those multiple arms of grapes being
grown those beautiful vineyards that’s
not how grape plants are supposed to be
normally grown it’s a stressed out plant
normally you’re only able to get about 5
to 10 Bunches of grapes off of those
grape plants now if you’re starting to
overproduce getting like you know 20 30
Bunches of grapes yeah it’s beautiful
but basically you’re getting sacks of
water you’re going to have to add sugar
to that wine in order for the yeast to
break down into Al to get anything
that’s consistent of an alcohol content
wine anything 12% 13% you’re going to
have to add sugar across the world so
you can’t add added sugar in Italy it’s
against the law that’s the second most
important rule third most important rule
to me before we start drinking and I
promise we’re going to get a glass of
wine inside of your hand soon in Italy
that it’s against the law to add
chemical sulfates to your wine there’s a
reason you guys have all been probably
drinking your way through Italy right
and you guys have been okay right no
headache and you guys have been okay no
hangover it’s the lack of chemical
sulfate inide wine but I’m going to
scare you about wine across the world
why they’re having to add that chemical
sulfate is to kill bacteria it forces us
to do one thing handpick the grapes by
proxy if I handpick The Grapes I have
eyes on each one of my bunches before it
goes inside of my basket right only
grapes are going inside of the bin and
eventually inside of the press if I
don’t handpick The Grapes I have to use
a harvester large equipment machinery is
very indiscriminate when I say
indiscriminate it grabs everything off
of the vines I’ve seen bugs I’ve seen
sticks I’ve seen mice go into the Press
of wine this is when you have to add
secondary chemicals to kill the bacteria
that’s inside of the wine so today we’re
all going to enjoy mice free wine and
chemical free wine all

of the wine slower the legs take to
appear and fall down the higher the
alcohol content if they appear and
disappear real fast with a little bit
amount or low amount of legs lower
alcohol content
wine you guys we just finished at our
tour they just dropped us off and that
was probably the most incredible gety
your guide that we have been on um the
first half like the first Winery that we
went to I feel like was maybe like a a
little more serious
and I don’t know like put together maybe
but the second one that we went to was
such a Vibe it was actually led by a New
Yorker he was honestly so amazing he was
such a Vibe he made everybody like just
have such an incredible time I 100%

story where he was a samier or samier or
whatever it’s called called he was a
taxi driver in New York City and one day
he had a beautiful lady jump into his
taxi who didn’t speak any English was
Italian and fast forward at the end of
her trip she told him to go home with
her he went home with her which was back
to Italy and he became a sire and they
have been married for 6 years and have a
little daughter together which I thought
was the cutest thing ever but anyways
foot traffic is starting to get a little
heavy and we are on our way to dinner to
of the most popular spots here which is
Tratoria Zaza I

think okay guys we just finished at
dinner what are your thoughts opinions
it was good but I don’t know maybe we
got the wrong thing no that’s 100% what
happened we kind of have been tired of
like the the pizza we’ve been doing it a
lot so we both really wanted like
chicken something chicken and I got like
a truffle Chicken al you got like fried
chicken that literally ended up looking
like chicken tenders um and their
version of
fries but uh the chicken I would say was
probably like
a four it’s going to be a tough score
yeah it was like a it was like a 4 out
of 10 for me for you like a five and a
half like 5 and 1/2 out of 10 so if
anything just take this as your note to
not get chicken at that restaurant um
however it has incredible review so if
you still go here just get like a pasta
or just like something that’s
Italian the pizza oven was broken so no
pizza pizza oven was broken so we
couldn’t get pizza and they ran out of
their best dessert they did not have um
panata wa was it panakot panakota they
didn’t have P panakota tonight um but
yeah that’s our review I still I don’t I
still want you guys to go because it has
incredible reviews we waited an hour we
did wait like 45 minutes to an hour in
the queue in the queue but just don’t
get chicken that’s it final statement
anyways we’re walking back we are tired
and we have an early morning tomorrow
because we are going

another day trip
to Tin with it I really am interested to
learn how exactly you say that but

Vlog we have arrived
to Chin is how you pronounce it and we
are currently in the island of corelia
there are five Islands on chin and our
guide actually goes through all five of
them I think um so it’s a lot of walking
for sure we just walked up a bunch of
stairs to get to this island it was like
300 something yeah like 350 maybe a
little like over 350

so while our tour is walking around and
exploring for the next hour and a half
or so and I are going to be here
relaxing laying on the beach drinking a
lionello
spritz and just enjoying life okay

good morning Vlog it is our last full
day here in Florence this is our fits we
are about to go and just take some
pictures at the duo and then we’re going
to go wait in the long hopefully not
long line of the Academia oh it’s going
to be
long all right you guys we just finished
at Galleria Academia and saw the statue
of David it was honestly so incredible
um wild that it even exists yeah it’s
huge um but okay here’s some pointers or
some we go info here we go we got there
at like
7:50 and we didn’t book tickets so if
you don’t book tickets get there super
early um like I said we got there at 7:5
I believe at 8:15 yes they open at 8:15
we waited an hour and a half and once we
were in we were there for about an hour
the museum is honestly pretty small but
it’s still really pretty and it’s clear
that the main attraction is the statue
of David anyways now we are going back
to the duo because they just opened they
open at
10:15 it is currently like maybe like
10:20 I definitely feel like the line is
going to be really long but we really
have no other plans today so we might as
well just wait in the line guys this is
Odell after seeing the line
okay update the line is actually longer
than what it was the day that we got
here um so here’s the the new game plan
we’re going to go and
have we’re going to go and have brunch I
think it’s called rooster or something
like that Rooster Cafe feed in Rooster
Cafe feed in and tell we’re going to go
get some oh we’re going to go get some
chicken and waffles

Vlog we did it we got our chicken and
waffles and they were incredible they
were super amazing the restaurant was
really good um you do have to like stand
outside for the tables and wait but we
honestly didn’t really wait that long I
want to say maybe like 20
minutes about 10 yeah like we’ll say in
between we’ll say a 15minute wait um but
they were really good and we sat next to
his girl who is from the Chicago area
and she was so sweet and we just like
chit chated it up with her time to
wait we’re almost there

we just finished at the Rooftop Bar at
hotel medich hotel medich and I 10 out
of 10 recommend you guys this bar
definitely come a little bit before
Sunset because it started to get packed
and we didn’t have a reservation so we
came earlier and ended up getting a
table with like an incredible view so
totally recommend that I think the
second best in the city is where we’re
staying however they don’t open until
700 now we are going to go to the pza
Michelangelo steps to go watch the
[Music]
sunset all right you guys we made it to
the top and one thing I have to say is
that it is not an easy way up it
honestly doesn’t take that long to get
up here but the way up is pretty steep
and there’s a couple of stairs but my
grandma said something once along the
lines of she doesn’t care if it’s hard
because at the end of the day it’s
always 100% wor worth it whatever you do
and I love that and it’s always true and
it’s always been true and although the
hike up here wasn’t easy and it was hot
and whatever we got up here and the view
was just breathtaking beautiful
incredible so I definitely recommend you
guys do it but anyways we got here kind
of early cuz we know that it’s going to
get packed um so the sun is still pretty
high up but they do have some vendors up
here so I’m going to get something to
drink we’re going to sit on the steps
Vibe they have some live music people
performing and then we’ll be here pretty
much until SU
so after that I’ll see you guys

tomorrow good morning Vlog it is
officially our last day in Florence and
we are kicking it off by going to some
breakfast and then after we are going to
end off our trip oh my God what a cute
store uh we are going to end off our
trip by going to a vintage photo booth
um I think they have a couple throughout
the city and we’ve been seeing them so
we’re going to go take some pictures I
believe it’s € to do so and I will show
you guys how they come out I’m so
excited one thing I love about Europe is
they only do juices I asked for apple
juice and this is a fresh squeezed apple
juice and also has a fresh squeezed
orange juice the orange juices he’s been
getting this whole trick and they have
been so good let’s try my fresh apple
juice that’s really good it l tastes
like I just bit an

apple oh my God that’s amazing so thank
you enjoy guys thank you okay we just
finished taking our pictures at the
photo booth and just a little friendly
tip when you put your two in literally
just smile just get into your pose and
wait there because it doesn’t have like
a countdown it’s literally just like an
old photo booth and the Flash is
extremely bright um but yeah I didn’t
know that there wasn’t going to be a
countdown so our first picture is not
good at all um but then once we realized
we literally just like stayed in our
pose for at least like probably like 45
seconds and then it would take it um so
if you guys go to the photo booth then
there’s your little tip but here’s our
pictures I still think they’re cute the
first one’s going to go cuz it is not
cute at all um but anyways you guys that
