  1. Binging with Babish is his channel, and he has 10+ million subs on it. He is one of the OG Youtubers out there.

  2. Okay so Gaynor should never go to a mexican restaraunt with non-family lol cant use a fork when sharing chips and salsa

  3. Binging with Babish is enough to make me need an oxygen mask and tank. I laugh really hard at his shows.

  4. They both come down from real Italian grandmas, so why not? Plus, the tomato was brought to Italy from America. So… tiebreaker… we win.

  5. I guess they could never have food in or with other South Asians. Everything is shared aa communal dish and eaten with hands in large gatherings.

  6. Gaynor here's the receipe – (all you have to do is pick the pasta you want or any meat you want to add!)
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

    1 large shallot minced

    2 garlic cloves minced

    ⅔ cup tomato paste

    3 tbsp vodka

    1 cup heavy cream

    2 tbsp unsalted butter

    ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan

    salt and pepper to taste
Place a large skillet over medium heat. Once skillet is hot add oil and sauté shallots and garlic for 3 to 4 minutes, or until aromatics begin to slightly caramelize.

Add tomato paste and stir together. Continue to stir until paste turns bright red,2 to 3 minutes.

Deglaze skillet with vodka and stir together until vodka evaporates. Add reserved pasta water to skillet and stir together until smooth, about 1 minute. Season with salt and pepper.

Stir cream into sauce until mixture is smooth. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer together, about 3 to 4 minutes. Stir in butter and Parmesan and continue to simmer until sauce is smooth, glossy and has thickened enough to coat the back of a spoon, about 3 minutes.

Add cooked pasta to sauce and toss together until fully coated. Season with salt and pepper.

Serve with more grated Parmesan and black pepper.

  7. Considering how picky Aiden is now, I can only imagine what it was like for Gaynor trying to cook for him as a kid haha You can't have a favorite cultural cuisine if you only eat the same 2 things every time, and one of them is pizza.

  8. I live in Wall and Lubranos is great, everyone loves it and its always super busy! And yes, penne alla vodka is one of my favorites too, Greetings from Wall!

  9. Gaynor didn't understand that, in most restaurants in Italy, you order vegetable side dishes separately. It is the same in most traditional Italian restaurants in New York. If it is a high-end New York Italian restaurant, the vegetable dish is listed separately on the menu. On an Italian menu, a side dish will be listed as "contorno" or "contorni di vedure." I'm certain it was listed on the menu she had , but she didn't know.

  10. Babish is from my home city of Rochester NY. You should check out his garbage plate episode. Our regional dish

  11. Fat is taste. Leave the fat on.

If you went for real peking duck, you would be served skin and fat to dip in white sugar. Eat it for goodness sake.

  12. They sell vodka sauces in most grocery stores in America I’d assume. It is very good! I’m sure at a restaurant like this it’d be amazing. I’ve never been to a true authentic Italian restaurant. Only Americanized crap like Olive Garden and Fazoli’s…which I still like 😁

  13. It’s quite literally the same food. NYC (particularly Ellis Island) was the Gate To America. People from China, Ireland, Italy, Germany, etc.. All arrived through Ellis Island. More than 12 million immigrants from 1892-1954 arrived through Ellis Island, all in the hopes of finding their slice of the American dream pie. (Back when the “American dream” was actually attainable).
