Hidden in an abandoned-looking storefront with white windows, Wizard Hat Pizza in Brooklyn has a speakeasy vibe. The takeout-only shop is run by chef and owner Josiah Bartlett, who’s grown his pizza business totally through word of mouth. On the menu are New York style pizzas with traditional toppings like spicy pepperoni and mushroom, as well as more experimental pies like an al pastor taco-inspired pineapple pizza.
Our space is not really customer facing aside from picking up pizza for takeout has a kind of a Speak Easy feel about it every day we put out our sign we have QR code for the menu and ordering that has the name on it we have a sandwich board
That I made at the beginning come 10:00 10:30 when we’re shutting up shop all that disappears so if you walks by people are still like oh what’s this what’s this place over here with the white windows and some people don’t know some people you hear them like oh yeah
That’s a pizza place they make pizza there and a lot of people are surprised

Soon as he said, “speakeasy” my eyes rolled behind my head.
A good 10% of the shops in a big city are using co op kitchens what a fancy way to say that lol
lotta flop
gimmick pizza
are the things hes saying supposed to be good things?
Suddenly all my youtube shorts all about food in this ramadhan..
I thought hipster d bags went out of fashion. Be better, eater.
Feels like a basic food like pizza is becoming niche just for the heck of it…its dough sauce and cheese jeez n most NY joints showcased have kinda pretentious owners smh
He sounds really fun to hangout with.
