Here is my Recipe:

Italian Smothered Garlic Chicken

4-5 Chicken Breasts 1/2-3/4 inch Thick
1 Cup Flour
1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
2-3 Tablespoons Butter
1 Garlic Head-Seperated
1/2-3/4 Cup Chicken Broth or Stock/White Wine
1/2 Teaspoon Fresh Lemon Juice
1/4-1/2 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
1 Cup Heavy Cream/Whipping Cream
Salt/Pepper

Pat Chicken Dry. Season Chicken with Salt and Pepper on both sides.
Add Olive oil and Half Butter to Skillet pan over Medium heat. Add Chicken. Sauté for 4-5 minutes on each side until Golden in Color. They will Crisp up nicely.
Set Chicken on Paper towels to drain excess oil.

Garlic Cream Sauce:
On Medium heat Add Butter . Once Butter is melted, add garlic cloves and cook until lightly Browned , about 3-5 minutes. Stir often, Garlic burns very easily burns!
Add Chicken Broth/Stock/Wine, Lemon Juice and Garlic Powder, stirring well into liquid until thoroughly mixed in. Simmer lightly while stirring about 5 minutes until liquid has reduced.
Stir in Cream. You should have a nice Creamy sauce now. Add Chicken to sauce cooking until it reached an internal temperature of 165°.
This is Delicious on its own, but we Love it served over Linguine, Mashed potatoes or Rice or with any Veggies.

Well hey you guys welcome back to another episode of the canning nana I know I have been MIA for probably almost the last month for a cooking video but um here I am and we’re going to do some uh cooking tonight a really really good recipe um and it’s one of my favorites

It is called Italian garlic smothered chicken um I’m trying to get my gimbal to work properly so um forgive me on this I’m using my older one I’m should get my other one but this one has a um a bigger setting for me to just set it down on

The counter which I’m going to do in a few minutes I just wanted to show you some of the ingredients and then I’m going to set it down this is not going to be a long video but I’m going to take you step by step super easy recipe um

There’s going to be a video coming explaining where I’ve been why I haven’t been around much lately um you see some videos popping up here and there on the other um our our newer Travel Channel um some videos that uh We’ve did some Disneyland and Universal Studios and some other things

That um are totally foreign to my channel um that will be explained in a future video um Lots going on um but that’s not why I haven’t been here so um Lots going on on um but I’ll explain that in in another video we are going to

Get back on track in March I promise um we’re going to uh get some canning videos going and some future uh gardening and uh get back on track in March and do our giveaways and stuff I know it’s been a long time coming uh we’re almost to 15,700 on this channel

And uh really really excited to give away some stuff so um let’s get started on this Italian garlic smothered chicken you guys are going to love this video um so here we go so what you need for this for the ingredients are some uh chicken

Breasts and you want to cut them so that they’re about a half an inch maybe 3/4 of an inch thick and I have there’s actually five of them in here because one is really really thin um and these were two big chicken breasts and when I say big these chicken breasts were

Probably about two to 2 and 1 12 Ines thick so I just cut them in um uh about half inch pieces maybe a couple I think this one right here is a little bit uh bigger but that’s fine um then you’re going to need a cup

Of flour I have a little bit more here because I want to dredge it this this is all you’re going to do with here with the flour is Dredge it through um you’re going to need some salt and pepper sorry for this gimbal is going wacko on me

Here um so I have my Watkins salt or my Watkins pepper um this is in the link it will be in the link below um for my website and then some Himalayan pink salt Watkins also has that if you guys are interested in that um and then we’re

Going to use a tablespoon of olive oil so I’ve got um goodness the gimbal has a mind of its own tonight I was going to help it along um so I I have the organic extra virgin olive oil that I just got at Costco um we need two tablespoons of

Butter which I have on this plate already you want them separated into one tablespoon of butter each um a whole head of garlic so this is peeled and you want to keep them um whole I’m going to be cutting this one probably in half so this has a lot of

Garlic in it um it also has garlic powder and it’s only a teaspoon of garlic powder this is from my dehydrated uh garlic and then ground up going to be doing another video of this and show you guys how to do this now that I have a

Really really good grinder not just the coffee spice Grinders that I’ve been showing you guys but a really good grinder that um I had sent me um so look forward to that because I’m going to show you how to do all kinds of powders and um fruit powders and spice powders

So that’s that is a video coming um we also have a half2 cup of chicken broth and I’ve got my chicken broth canned right here but that is right here looks a little bit different because it’s a different can I did not open that one I opened this one which is lighter in

Color um this one was not um cooked as long as that one that you see over there is um let’s see how half a teaspoon lemon juice which is this right here and fresh lemons preferably if you have fresh lemons and a cup of heavy whipping cream

Which is right here that’s an 8 oz pint if you can uh just find the 8 oz pipe that’s all you need and um and then the salt and pepper okay so I am going to set this down and we’re going to get started okay so the first thing we’re

Going to do is we’re going to salt and pepper the chicken breasts before we dredge them in flour and I’ve gently Pat them dry on this side so I’m going to put pepper on them we’re going to season them first you want to do this to get all the

Flavor locked in there and then I like to Pat them looks like I put a little bit too much on there but I really didn’t okay and then we’re just going to turn them over and we’re going to Pat this side dry see this one’s that little little one right there wipe my

Hands I’m Pat this side just to get everything to stick on there away now is trying to get in here cuz he smells the chicken he likes to have chicken when I am making chicken such a kitty although he really doesn’t eat raw chicken if I don’t put anything on it

And I make it for him he wants up not eating it okay so right after we do that I’m just going to show you a couple pieces I’m going to take the chicken and just dredge it in the flow and I just like to push it down here can you guys

See that no let’s let’s move this over okay so make sure you can see what I’m doing here I like to do that and then just pick it up make sure it’s all nice and covered put it on the top like that nice and covered and

Then I’m going to put it in my plate over here so I’ll show you one more and then I’ll will show you the next step super easy recipe and it comes so good and you can make this ahead and then just heat it up you can freeze this dish in ready to go

Containers for lunch or dinner it’s very very good okay let me finish these up and then I will come back and show you the rest okay so once you’re done doing the dredging you’re going to add a tablespoon of olive oil oil to your pan and 1 tbsp of

Butter okay and you’re going to get your pan hot okay so once that is hot your pan is hot you are going to add your chicken breast do the pan and there will be enough room the recipe actually calls for two chicken breasts um I just Haven to have really really large ones

So um that’s why I just cut them in p pieces like I did but they will shrink um and then you’ll have plenty of room and I even have some couple little pieces in here this way I can um taste it for flavor so you want to cook these four to

5 minutes on each side um until they’re golden and brown in color so I am going to do that and wait and then I’m going to bring you back when these are near done or when I turn them while you are waiting for these to

Cook you want to get a paper towel or some napkins ready because you are going to be removing these to a plate with paper towels or napkins in order for these to drain while you’re making the sauce okay we are going to turn some of these Over this one’s going to take a little B longer B that one okay these are nice and crispy little ones over okay may be G when these are done okay so once we turn them over we’re going to reduce the heat to medium and add the rest of the butter

And we are probably going to add a little bit more better and we add the SAU okay you guys these are done I’m going to transfer these to a p to the plate with the uh towels on it so that they drain and then I’ll bring you back to make

Sauce okay what we’re going to do now is we’re going to add the garlic the whole garlic to the pan okay and we’re going to cook these for about three to four minutes so I split a couple of them and we’re just going to cook them very very slow so I

Have these on medium heat we don’t want to burn the garlic so you’re going to watch these so we are going to cook these and you can eat these These are going to be really really good guys really good garlic is very easily burned so you want to keep stirring

These 3 to four minutes just until they’re lightly brown and you want to get your chicken broth ready and your lemon juice and your garlic powder and what you’re going to be doing is you’re going to be reducing this youing the sauce before you add the

Cream okay so this will be okay for just a second okay I can tell you that these smell amazing love the smell of garlic when it’s cooking so these are just starting to get brown there’s a little piece of chicken in there so you got to make sure

That you’re Browning the garlic and up the little pieces of chicken smells amazing so you can see why it’s called smothered garlic because you’ve got all this a whole garlic clove they’re just broken apart and then you’re also putting garlic powder in this as well super easy recipe it just takes

Probably about 20 minutes to make um got to remember I’m filming and I’m um stopping the camera and then starting it again while I get the ingredients um so yeah it takes about maybe 15 20 minutes to do this okay so these are nicely browned excuse me so I am going to add

The chicken broth and the lemon juice and the garlic powder to this and then I’m going to keep stirring get this all nicely in there get it all oh my gosh this smells so good you guys you are going to love this dish absolutely love it

So you’re going to cook this until uh for about 5 minutes until it reduces so you want it um have it noticeably reduced because then you’re going to add the cream to it then you’re going to put the chicken back in um and let all of this yummy sauce absorb in the

Chicken and it’s going to be just amazing okay this is like one of those things you might get from Hello fresh or something like that it’s really really easy to put together I like to put together my own hellofresh recipes you know put them in the refrigerator all the ingredients

Together it’s so much cheaper um although I have been sponsored by hresh in the past um by a couple of other ones that I haven’t actually shown on my channel I’m but of fresh too bad and they actually want to sponsor me again um so we might try it

Trying to get my son to do that he really needs that he um works really long hours and he needs to eat healthy so um I kind of recommend that to him okay so this is quickly reducing look at that and that look good okay so

I’m going to reduce this a little bit more because I don’t want this video to be too long um and then I’ll bring you back just before I add the cream one thing I do want to mention if you don’t have or if you don’t want to

Add chicken broth you can add white wine to this um you can substitute white wine um and if you don’t drink alcohol you don’t have to worry because the alcohol Cooks out and you just have the flavor of the wine um so I have used white wine

In this recipe and it it makes the flavor a little bit different and I will tell you it is really good with white wine so don’t have to worry about the alcohol like I said it Cooks out so you are not drinking wine with your dinner and it is very very

Tasty okay let me shut this off get the cream and I’ll be right back and one more thing I want to tell you you know it’s reduced when you can go like that and you see the line you could see the pan in the middle so that means it’s

Ready okay let’s go get that uh the whipped cream okay so with cream you want to quickly get the cream in there and stir it and add it in the cream is now room temperature U it wasn’t when I first brought it out but it is

Now keep the um heat on medium while you do this it will quickly come up to temperature so Stir It All in there I’m going to get a spoon and get the rest of this out once I mix it all in Okay let me get a spoon okay let’s add our chicken back in is still really hot okay we’re going to lower this a little bit and we are going to simmer it until the internal chicken of or the internal temperature of the chicken has reached

165 um deg and I will tell you you can serve this over anything um It’s Perfectly fun on its own you can serve it over rice pasta mashed potato at a uh on a side I am probably not going to do pasta tonight um or maybe I will no I’m making um a

Whole never thing I don’t know we we’ll see what I serve it with but this is this video for right now maybe I will make spaghetti or something we’ll see but I’ll show you what it looks like when it’s done okay so the chicken is all done I’m
