Biggest are showing up at games to support or Kansas City Chiefs boyfriend is actually lead to some unexpected bonding on football Sunday. CE one dead writing my 12 year-old daughter just asked me to point out Jason Kelsey and it spurred an entire conversation. I love her beyond words but the kid never

Cares about football. That was cool. Another father at I actually feel bad for the brats chads and angry dads who spent the year complaining about Taylor Swift interrupting their football because I spent the season trading swift. Kelsey Meetings with my 14 year-old daughter Taylor sitting there

With the Donna Kelce Chiefs ever since this Sunday night football game between the Chiefs and Jets set social media on fire. Varma. Welcome. Thank you, Kate. So some of us are already disappointed because we said we’re going to try to get fit in 2024 and all those goals. They got cold out. We decided not to do things. It’s hard to reboot. And this let me do a

Fresh read, but you can do that. Absolutely. And the key is to start small and to stay consistent. So if you set yourself, I want to go to the gym 5 times. Yeah, I say start with 2 because what happens is if you can stick to a goal with

85% certainty, the more likely to get results and that positive reinforcement keeps you going. The other thing is I would say have at home routine you there’s no excuses if you can have a 10 minute workout a 15 to 20 minute and have some

Dumbbells and I’m at and the 3rd thing is to anticipate obstacles. Look at your week ahead and say these are the 2 days and anything do above this is going to be bonus and you can feel amazing about yourself. And also I think it’s

Important to to schedule it into your daily cause. I sometimes scheduled on my calendar like a meeting because otherwise that’s the one thing that always goes. But by and that’s the thing you need. Yes, okay to go shovel right now. Let’s get into finances because finances can be

Daunting after Christmas. People found themselves with so many bills and thanks and say you’re trying to reset and read that. So what’s the right way to get right with your finances? >> If you fallen off the wagon, so basic things like financial literacy in terms of like what options are available to me,

If you’re a first-time homebuyer, are there any incentives if you are having a health care spending account or your job, other childcare incentives, other childcare tax credits for your camps for aftercare? So I think it’s important to know and it doesn’t have to be so daunting.

Have a budget have transparency between you and your partner? For example. Look at the credit card bills are their deaths. Can you move it over to a lower spending account with like a lower fee and then think of long-term investments? Look, I’m all about the splurge. If you want the lattes and you

Know, did the juices the expense of stuff. We know that none of that is going to make a a long-term dent. But can you replace it with a special machine that last year longer? >> I like what you use the word financial literacy. Sometimes

You just you choose liked a stiff arm, your finances. Not even look at him. But it’s really important to know what you’re dealing with. Not be afraid, right, education. And it’s and it’s a part of health financial wellness, check the healthy diet pace. I mean, everybody started off with

Something, but I feel like everyone is on. It was something that let’s protect everyone. Let’s pretend like everyone still dieting. So if you are and you want to kind of stick to it, but you’ve already fallen off the wagon. And, you know, you know what? But put that aside, you can

Rebuild. Yes. When you think about long-term habits and getting enough protein, even if you are on those think is really, really important. You don’t want to lose the muscle mass because that’s what was happening to people. Is Neil prepped in advance. If you are not the cooking time

By yourself, pre cut vegetables, frozen vegetables, premade meals, a meal service, whatever you can afford, whatever is within your budget, but you have to plan in advance. I would also say it’s like don’t focus on the weight and the number of folk us on the goals because you have

Control over the activity. I’m going to sign up for to exercise classes a week because that is within my control. The number is not so much that their thing is I would say, is just be flexible and be compassionate with yourself and think about this is what about the long-term plan? Dry January

Were already midway through January, but a lot of people are on this dry January kick in some people blow not already done. So I I do love the all or nothing. Yeah. A lot of people that I worked with struggle with and the drinking and I

Would say think of it is damp January. Lets be compassionate with ourselves. She’s on the and yeah, damp January is going to have yourself a drink every now and then I’m totally fine with that. And mocktails a huge nowadays. It’s all the trend. There’s a lot of fuzzy, beautiful little things,

Juices little things that you can do. And also look at the stress management piece got a lot of times. People are drinking heavily because they’re not able to regulate and have coping mechanisms, right? So I would say keep a worry diary, write down your worries, right down the trigger

So that, you know, that you’re going to be less of drinking and be mindful. And it’s not just and it’s not a month. We want to look at drinking for the entire year and self-compassion is huge. Shout out and you’re busy by the way, the question about who you’re

Working on a book writes, Yes, what’s the book called? It’s called Practical Optimism Is Art Science and practice of exceptional well-being. It comes out next month next month. >> And you know, good. Okay. Good. Well, we hope to have an offer that we look forward to it. Thank you so much. Thanks,

Take a look. I think this puts the white in the White House know they’re looking very nice. Little dusting of snow that for a while Reagan National Airport was closed out that, yeah, it was that it was cause, you know, they have to really space

Out the planes, things like that. 31 degrees wind chill of 24. Now let’s take a look. The I-95 should stay inside Philadelphia in Philadelphia. Ural stop. Yeah. 27 18 degrees right now has the Comcast building. It did not quite do not too far, but I’m not quite sure why anyone. So he, of

Course, the snow is going to be relatively light except for the lake effect snow, which is going to be a problem. But look at the center of the wind chills over the weekend. It’s going to I -9 in Burlington, Vermont on

Saturday, 4 above the DC -10 on Saturday and St. Louis by just for a narrow on Friday. The good news guys is that as we get toward the middle of next week, temperatures will show that pattern shift in temperatures and I have a term

Of meteorological term. I want to ask about the best years ago when you say lake effect snow. Yes. Is that just snow that comes off the lake? Well, it’s it is. We’ve talked about this in that the Great Lakes, right? In fact, now that they’re not

Ice covered. So the cold air book blows across across the warmer waters of the lake picks up moisture comes back over the land. That moisture cools off of drops of snow. So with the leeward side, the eastern end of the lakes, that’s why you’ll

See heavy snow in Cleveland, a south of Chicago. I or those place. You have a question an hour. You just caught a lot of people, something. Yeah, I’ve heard the term for years. And so if we understood. Yeah. >> Thank you. All right. Well, not of some really

Encouraging medical news today. As we get older, we can all relate to being a little more forgetful. Well, a new study from Mass General Brigham finds that daily multivitamin could actually help prevent normal memory loss and slow down our cognitive aging. So here to tell us more about these

Findings is ABC Medical contributor, Doctor Tara Narula, a cardiologist at Lenox Hill Hospital at Northwell Health. Good morning to you. Good morning. You know what? We talked about multi vitamins a lot. And people have wondered whether they’re, you know, really worth it. But this time.

>> It shows that could have some value when it comes to our memory. Yeah, it’s true. And, you know, we know so many Americans take about a 3rd of Americans say been around since, you know, the 1940’s and we don’t normally recommend them for I like cancer prevention of cardiovascular

Disease. But this new data does suggest that there may be benefits. So this was a very large nationwide study, high quality study that looked at about 5,000 older Americans over the age of 60 who got a daily multivitamin or a placebo. And they found that those who took the daily

Multivitamin did have slowing of cognitive aging by the equivalent of about 2 years. And this will. So, yeah, 2 years. Yeah. This was both global cognitive function, which really means things like your reasoning, skills, attention, planning and also what the researchers called episodic memories or ability recall day today, life events.

They then looked at a smaller group, a sub study of that group that got just in-person assessments of their cognitive function and they, too showed benefit when it came to that episodic memory. Now, we always want to point out some limitations. This was for family, white population that

Was studied. So does need to be reproduced in more broad, diverse cramps. It was sent troops over Allen. Do you take that? So we don’t know if that applies to other formulations of multi that. Yeah. >> It does have a great memory. You remember that your center

Have taken about 2 years every day. Yeah. >> How long do we know in this particular study when they started taking them? It was like 2 years. This was like, you know, the patients had a kind of assessment baseline and then at 2 years, so they saw some have seen, especially it’s

Sort of, yeah, some downsides. You are there any? Yes. So we think of multi vitamins that you care. Yes, very safe. You know, it’s always good to show what you’re taking to your doctor because some of these supplements can have more harmful effects in particular, taking very high doses of

Things like vitamin A or C or e sometimes that can be problematic. But in general vitamins are safe. And the real value from a public health perspective is that they’re affordable. Yeah, they’re accessible. And so if they really are as effective as this research, which suggests this

Could have a real broad impact, we don’t currently have any FDA approved intervention for asymptomatic, older adults to slow cognitive aging since could be really. >> Groundbreaking, so should know. Do some stuff. >> Should younger people at the table all should we be taking a

Vote to buy low heat until we’re 5th? You take vitamins. Oh, yes, I do. But not a motive. I take vitamin. I know it. >> 3 males most pregnant. Yeah. I find it in your food. You know, right? Well, that is really the a good way, right?

Because we know food is filled with those micronutrients vitamins, minerals. So that’s definitely part. And the question is, yeah, I mean, should some of us are younger start taking that? I don’t think we know. But certainly because it safe there could be benefits. Have that can hurt?

Yeah. What are you going to? I think I might start. >> Help you also with your memory is to limit alcohol as I look at the guy with a beer on what I was a lot to do this morning. Well, we had a blast owl.

>> And we we so much beer here if you want to achieve. But yeah, that place about why some people doing dry January of doing the moisture. I say that you would use the word points to just 7. >> Alice, right, though, lifestyle interventions.

Yeah, big role. And so things like limiting out 5 avoiding smoking exercising. You deals all after all that years. Yes. So really interesting. And we’re talking to your doctor about. Yeah, all right to you. >> We are heading into a busy weekend for sports fans this

Morning. We have a look at some new high-tech security systems that are in place at major stadiums in DC’s. Senior tech correspondent Jake Ward is here with a look at how artificial intelligence is actually keeping us safe. We spent a lot of time talking about the downsides, but you sure this is actually.

>> But ups I know typically are. But you’re always has been is a good one. I promise. You know, good morning. We have all been to a stadium or theme park ride. Experience that dread of going through security. You got to empty your

Pockets. You got into your bag. You walk through metal detector and sometimes going to all of that with kids. Well, now new I powered weapons scanners are looking to speed things up and many people do not even realize they’re there. >> With a record-breaking summer for concerts.

>> Height of football season. There’s an effort underway to modernize how venues keep fans safe. Here at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, home of the Atlanta Falcons. Just 1.6 billion dollar facility is full of technology. >> Waco, robotic security, golf and biometrics system that scans faces rather than tickets. And most of the nearly

70,000 people here on Game Day do not realize they have just been searched for weapons. >> Did you realize that you were being screened for for weapons today? No, no. Is that no. >> These involve scanners use AI to detect the specific magnetic signature of a firearm and ignore phones and keys.

>> You see the lights on the fact state green unless there’s an alert to go read and then that shows up on the screen for the operator. >> Today the system pulls aside. The head of security is carrying a fake gun for our benefit and point staff. The exact spot on his body.

>> It’s not just this guy. It is this guy, right side hip exact and that’s the benefit of the a I. >> Without frisking wands or lines involved says their scanners to screen thousands of people in our and while evolve screenings are not as thorough as airport security. One of the

Goals here is to keep people moving. >> We have about 700 school buildings using our technology and the idea of being able to be screened, but also get to your desk and be ready for the school bell is really, really important that we should be able to live in a society where

That can happen. >> They’ve all has had trouble detecting certain kinds of knives, but Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Vice-President security says that is not his top concern. >> I’m not was wary about grandpas night. We have the resources to deal with that. In reality, we’re looking for

What we say, the bang. It’s been a bio of our our explosive. Yeah. >> Venues are trying to find a balance between convenience and safety and ticket holders here are also trying to determine where they draw the line. >> Like are used to waiting in line out of line is quick.

>> Now, of course, regulating firearms is always a very hot button issue. And, you know, regardless of your stance, this is the thing that we’re in the singular American moment where people want to be able to lawfully own a firearm. But they do not want to go to a game where people carrying

Those firearms and they do not want to stand in line and it’s 3 things together right of come together to make this kind of technology bubble. Now they say it doesn’t work all the time. Nothing is 100% safe but also misses some knives of the

Storm. They say Knighten are probably worried about. We can handle that. We can have you know what we care about his explosives and firearms on this thing doesn’t later on tonight, a layered effect and much, much better than the middle of the technology. Just get better over time as well as it gets.

It gets. It basically teaches anyone stadium that has somebody walks through. All of the stadiums are learning because the AI is my home. You’re probably going through it at the number of places that you don’t need the best. They can build it right in the architecture and you would never come here for.

>> All right. Well, coming up in our consumer confidential, the biggest financial scams on the rise, how to spot them before you become a victim. And then later, Steve Khaki Cornett is standing by to break down the NFL playoff action this weekend, including a new chapter in an old rivalry right back.

>> This morning in our consumer confidential, how to spot financial scams. The Federal Trade Commission says in 2022 look at this. One in 5 people fell for an imposter scam costing about 2.6 billion dollars in Bravo’s Andy Cohen recently revealed on today that he it was the victim of a scam.

So we have CNBC, senior personal finance correspondent Sharon Epperson here to tell us how to protect ourselves. Good morning to you. Good morning. It’s almost like a threat to the show because we just had Jake Ward here talking about with thanks to technology and AI we can make us safer.

But that saying you all this technology is also making it easier for scam artists to make us feel like, you know what way this this bill collector of this debt collection business, this might be. >> The jet. Exactly. So we’re thinking that that’s something

They’d say something that makes them think they know us. So this has to be a legitimate company. But the thing you need to know is if they’re intimidating youth of putting pressure on you to pay and if they’re giving information that you don’t know how they really got that information, that’s a

Red flag. So if they’re claiming that they owe you money and it’s a fake company in those last-minute imitation of all don’t do that. What you need to do is know that no one no debt collector, you can contact you except between the

Hours of 08:00AM and 09:00PM your local time. Okay. If you set up parameters already with a debt collector about how they contact you, that’s the only way they can do it all. So they’re disclosing financial information to you or asking you for financial information and you have not verified the

Best. Actually, the debt collection agencies or the creditor that you we’re working with. And then that is another red flag. You need to contact the original creditor and make sure they’re working with that debt collection company before you disclose any because that’s the thing is it’s up for some

People they haven’t paid in so long. It’s out of their hands. And so they don’t know who >> is trying to collect it, actually. So making sure that those 2 companies are connected is important. Sure. Let’s talk about some specific types of scams. You let’s start with the

Grandparents stand. What is that? How do we avoid that? >> That’s been around for a long time. Someone pretending to be your grandchild. Well, that’s when I got here. But if you were, but it’s worse now because of AI and advanced

Technology, all it takes is 5 or 10 seconds to someone to get a voice print of your voice and then use that to create this game that they want to stay. They’re in trouble. They the money and can grandma and grandad help with that. So the

Imposing that way is a way that those grandparent scams happen. The way to get around. That is not to answer any call or text from a number that you don’t recognize if someone they say is that they’re the grandparent, call them back and

Say, OK, let me call you back or come up with a safe word somewhere between the 2 of you that, you know, when you call that that’s really them. And then also, if you’re concerned, there may be a family member friend, that you

Can text a call to say, are they even home and you’ve seen them? Could they possibly be calling me just, you know, it’s legit. Let’s go. >> Here’s what I was kind of interesting, though, the romance scam. >> So how people put so much information on social media to

Dating apps, people feel like they know one another, right? So they develop a relationship and the game of their trust and then us that love interest. While I’m in a tight spot right now, could you just send me some? And then that’s how that

Scam happens. And so it’s very important. Again, red flags of someone in your family or friends says you may want to check this personality. Listen to them. Do that. Don’t share any of your information on these accounts. That’s financial are really personal identification information and

Don’t send money or packages for someone just because they’ve asked. We have time for one more. Let’s talk about the FTC saying that the in the investment related scams are the most costly type of fraud. But we need to know about cryptocurrencies 3 billion dollars times a lot. Lot of

People with investment scams and crypto is a really big one. It’s actually a very big one with romance scams to people either ask for payment in gift cards or in crypto. So if someone’s asking you for payment in crypto, that could be a red flag. But often it’s someone asking you to investing

An investment manager got triple your money on that trip. Quadruple your money, that that’s a red flag. So what you want to do is make sure that you’re doing your research and you’re not just automatically putting money or or investing. In crypto, you researched a virtual wallet. The digital

Wallet, the virtual currency platform. You’ve made sure to that. It’s a romance scam is dating this investment advice they get on that. Also just don’t want to pay just because of you have an unexpected request asking you to pay for some people are just so trusting. You know, the most

Important thing, though, is to just discuss what we just talked about to go back. Tell you saw the segment. I’m going to tell my family members, my friends about it because studies have shown that 80% of people that are just aware that these scams are out there don’t get scammed and its

40% won’t lose money or won’t lose their personal information. >> Again, just by sharing this information up for 2020 that Sharon Epperson, thanks to our love your show. Still to come, we’ve got another action packed weekend in the NFL. So who better to break it down for us? But then the man, Steve

Kornacki, he’s eyeing those khakis before the big board. Breaking down all the action quarterbacks to watch history on the line. It’s all coming up, baby. She went from searching for the Lost Ark to showing off a hidden talent after Karen Allen talks to be all about her

Passion for Nathan 3rd hour of today will be right back. >> No surprise. It’s snowing out both new super the worst of the weather weather folks talk. That’s what we like. Check out fall. I live here tell us that Russians so much snow has fallen here in New York said no way.

>> I could be a great weekend to watch some football folks. Huge weekend. It I felt playoffs teams left in the DA which means that a listen to the perspective. It is time for kickoff with coin at UMBC News. National political correspondent just a few days ago was talking about the Iowa

Caucuses now. >> Welcome back to so let’s get right into it. First matchups tomorrow. Who do we have state? Yeah. A couple of David versus Goliath contest on Saturday here. You’ve got the Houston Texans. There were no expectations for this team this year. Here they are coming off a crushing win over Cleveland

Last week. Maybe in 45 14 that going in the Baltimore going to be obviously a very tough environment there for the Texans and Indoor Dome team. Coming up to the cold weather, the Ravens, the top seed they had last week off. They’re

Going to be ready for this. You got to thinking in the Packers who dismantled the Dallas Cowboys last week, Jerry Jones and so shots and he was in shock last week that Packers advance their reward for that. They get to play the San Francisco Forty-niners a very tough road for them.

But they get the chance to remember just a couple years ago, this same matchup in the playoffs. The Packers were the big favorite, the Niners team in the Lambeau Field in upset him. Could the Packers return the favor? Now 2 years later, Novak also the chance for history with the Texans

Quarterback. This is the stuff that depresses make a second runway back. The first professional athlete who is actually younger than me retired this year. All out the King of Young, the professional athletes. CJ Stroud last week in beating. This is the Texans quarterback in defeating

Cleveland last week. The youngest and a quarterback ever to win a playoff game. His birthdate not to depress anybody out there. October /3/2001. >> His support to you guys. See Jay Z and then you got. >> Lamar Jackson, the comparative veteran here. You look at the career stats. Obviously Jackson has been an

Electric quarterback strapped. Look at these numbers for a rookie. Absolutely amazing and Jax. Yeah, look at that. I mean, you know, they talk about rookie there. How about MVP in Lamar Jackson? We don’t see and hear member dual threat quarterback has also run for over 5,000 yards. 29 touchdowns

There. But what a season or CJ Strat. And now the ultimate test from coming up. Let’s talk about Sunday. Yeah, we’ve got some good ones on Sunday to how about this one that we showed you this last week. Remember the Icicle again. That’s what

We’re talking about. The Kansas City. Again, the Kansas City game gets the icicle grab that they are not at home. They’re playing at Buffalo. They had the blizzard in Buffalo last week. They’re getting some snow. That’s right. Rice lake effect snow. A little more on top of that. You say that.

But how about this? Patrick Mahomes in his career he’s played in 3 Super Bowls. Those are neutral site. 12 other playoff games. Every single one of them has been a home game for him. This is the first time in Patrick Mahomes career. He’s going to go into a hostile environment in the

Playoffs and talk about a hostile environment, Buffalo in the winter in the weather. So that’s going to be an interesting one. And then you get the Bucs and the Lions, the Lions winning what was their 3rd playoff game in 67 years of the second is 67 years. Last week, they’re going

For their 3rd was their first win since January. 92 and Baker Mayfield in the Bucks coming into Detroit. You’ve got to Detroit, a Detroit trivia question for us tonight and full disclosure. I suggested this, but I did not look up the answer. Okay. Here we go. So we set it was January 5th,

92 the last time for last week that the Lions won a playoff game was over the Cowboys. And so we’re asking you in 1990, if they play at Ford Field, the Lions do. What was Ford’s top selling vehicle in 92 the Mustang, the Taurus,

The FC areas pick up or the Explorer ladies for I think it was the Taurus Taurus. I’m going toward us. I’m going to go F one 50. Even back then. Really interest that member. That horse with a good family car back in the back in 90 interests.

>> That’s America’s truck. Had a 91 Ford escort. I’m just like everybody having a school. >> I had a 92 Ford explore. Had to say. Thank you. Thank you. So I think when you have a New Hampshire that either way you can watch that Bucks Lions game.

>> Right here on NBC and Peacock, might we go on the team starting that coverage at 02:00PM Eastern. All right. Well, still to come, if you’re even thinking about a career change, listen up. We’re going to tell you Lincoln’s top 5 jobs on the rise 2024. But first after Karen Allen is

Known for her job as a movie star, a director in a stage actor. But her Real passion project is in a different time studio. We’re going to show you that with a 3rd out today comes right back. >> Any excuse. But there is a real reason. We’re playing that

Iconic theme song from the Indiana Jones. But in the Berkshires of Massachusetts, there’s admitting Stu that creates beautiful scarves and sweaters. But if you pull that thread, you’ll find out the woman who’s making them is a real life movie star is taking on quite a different role.

>> It’s just thrilling to me that I can make something with my hands that then another person. >> Moms, Karen Allen shot to fame with film roles like National Lampoon’s Animal House at Raiders of The Lost Ark. Right? But when she’s not on screen, she’s in her studio with her

First love. You started an early age men. >> My grandmother taught me how to knit. I sort of imitated that love and and and then took it to my heart and then it. I fell in love with we just textiles and look at the ways

Someone had designed a fabric or were again, I just think I >> That early fascination lead Karen to study textile design at the Fashion Institute of Technology. But after seeing a plane ended up above the road to Hollywood. >> I just fell in love with Peter. Suddenly it was

Everything by chance. I was studying at an acting school and I walked through the lobby and there’s a little too by 5 card and put words to feature film. Casting college age actors and actresses send picture isn’t a I popped it in an envelope just for the h*** of it

Got a phone call and it was an last casting directors went. You’re my girl like that. Yeah. I was who she imagined the character of the Caspian Animal House, which was amazing because I’ve never worked in film in my life. >> From there she took on one of the biggest movie franchises

In history. Indiana Jones Landing the role of Marion Ravenwood. Nobody tells me what to do in my place. >> When you read the script you at home who says this is different, it’s a different kind of I wasn’t allowed to read the whole script. The scene that

They sent me was the scene buck. They didn’t know who he knew was going to be. So I when I auditioned with a couple of potential Indy’s and a lot of women won the primary and women would and I was just want it.

>> I have many, many actresses that the addition and I guess gave a good addition. You may get. >> Parents continue to act and the rest while seamlessly creating clothing and accessories. She even return to F I t studying getting missions until opening her own shop in

2005, Karen Allen, Fiber Arts in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. The store sells Karen’s Nick garments as well as items from artisans all around the world. What made you decide to open up a place like this? >> Well, some of it had to do with my son. So after he was

Born, you know, lots of new questions around. And I thought, what am I going to do it myself because the travel involved in filmmaking, it’s very difficult with the child of a certain age. You don’t want to be putting them in school. >> When they’re babies, it someone with his baby on the

Middle school high school yet. >> So I thought I’ve got a plan my to tear it occur to me that maybe if I ever wanted to make one line where maybe now is the time. >> One thing to pieces, but it’s another thing to open up a business in the store.

>> Well, that’s the home of Ahmed Friday of it. I was doing really well and no, I’ve never had a story before. It was really for me. Just breaking new ground all over the place. >> Whether in front of the camera or in her studio,

Karen finds a common thread it all the pursuits. >> When we look at the men diagram of movies, theater, textiles, what’s the over left for you? All things that I have. >> 2 nd fascination for somehow those 3 things seem to create a

Food meal, you know, a cool way of of navigating my my way to life. >> Those great that I’m wearing one of her scar and Karen sent home all. Thank you have that this batch of each of what your was full. We have no idea Carolina has. And here’s the

Other thing. She is so multi talented. I learned that she has another skill. She plays the harmonica. She played who used to play with John Belushi and Dan Ackroyd when they hit up Blues Club Grill on stage with Willie Nelson. We even

Found a clip of her playing the harmonica in the 19 interview here on today. Show. >> I just I’m I’m in love with her. So, yes, really, you know off and we’re live with the scars coming up. And you’re even thinking about making a career change.

>> You want to hear the most in-demand rolls on this year’s linked in jobs report. We’ll have that coming up in just a second. And then later, this as you can look good and be comfortable. The same time we’re celebrating national

Sweat Pants Day are it looks in our style file will be right back. >> Welcome back. A lot of folks have made 2020 for the year. They plan to find a new job or maybe you’re just curious about what’s out there. Well, this morning we’re breaking down

Lincoln’s annual list of jobs on the rise here reveal what’s booming. Islington editor-in-chief Dan Roth. Good Morning. Good morning. Welcome back. Always love these lists. So let’s get right into it here. Let’s talk about maybe a snapshot. >> Their job market as we start the new Year, actually. So a

Lot of people are looking. Most people, in fact, are thinking about looking for jobs this year. Recent survey we found 85% of people are considering a new job. The shopper says 85 to shoot number 27 percentage point increase from last year. So most people around or probably at least

Have the itch to go look around. It is a tougher job market, though they are entering. The has been a long time to applicants for every one job opening right now. That’s a total flip from where we were about 18 months ago. The 0.8 million jobs available now from companies that so low

That we haven’t seen since March of 2021, so fewer new jobs. People are losing their jobs. Still very low unemployment but companies not listing as many jobs they want. That’s interesting. Yeah. >> Let’s talk about jobs on the rise of the top 5 jobs for 2024.

>> That that we think are going to be the most popular search for these are the top 5 showing up in our data chief Growth officer government program, analyst Environmental Health Safety manager, director revenue operation that sustainability analyst. So these are the big job to do.

We’ll get into all of them, but we can explain what the trends are behind the joke. A let’s talk about that. So. >> You said first off role of walls that drive growth. >> Yes, so companies are having a harder time right now finding

Profits than they’ve had in a long time. It’s harder to seek out those extra dollars to if you or somebody you could help the company do that. You are in huge demand. So these 2 roles are the top 2 roles. Here are ones where you’re helping a

Company. Enter new markets. Get more efficiency out of your company’s of people who typically work with sales and marketing teams really close to the idea is how do you get your customers to spend more and how do you find new customers? Recruiters still in the band of recruiters are positions that

Are like the canary in the coal mine for the first to get fired. When things start getting going poorly and the first get rehired with industries come back up just so there and shoot a man like health care where there are still a lot of demand that industry.

>> This grabbed my attention. More than two-thirds of the jobs on this list didn’t even exist 20 years ago. We started the show today talking about I yeah, there any positions may be in that area area or perhaps this is the hot space to be really first of all.

>> 80% of the jobs on our list this year are new to the list. 80 80%, as they were here last year. That 68% of them didn’t even exist 20 years ago. There’s massive change going on in the job market in the in the world. A lot of this is being

Driven by I if you can get into AI, you should get into hey, I will be my recommendation. Number 6 on our list this year is the artificial intelligence consulting number to somebody who is artificial intelligence. >> Engineer. So one is a person who recommends what you do.

And I want a person actually does the work, you know, if they’re real. Haha, that’s a great question. But I mean, I guess it’s one of the things that people don’t understand. It looks like if you understand it, come on in exactly and you.

>> After a understood the things you have to bring this in your company. And so there is a demand for someone that can tell you what to do with these are great job by the pay really well over $200,000 a year. They are. There’s a lot

Of flexibility. 50 1% of the jobs in these 2 in these 2 roles. Ari, the remote or hybrid, if you want, if you can get into this, I would highly recommend getting into it and we expect even more growth. It would seem absolutely.

I mean, this is there’s just the demand is just going to pick up. It is going to change how we do everything just out of curiosity, these into artificial intelligence job. What’s your background study in common? A lot of it is either.

If you want to engineer, you got to have a computer science degree to understand how this works. Now, this is a new industry. So in these are new areas for a lot of people. So it’s not like there’s people who have been around for 20

Years are experts on this. You can become an extra pretty quickly to take online courses, especially in the consulting job. You don’t have to be a technical wizard to be able to be a consultant. >> That’s probably the eye-opening was learn something. When you kind of right now, I think it is that

You have to. We can. Coming up, we’re celebrating national sweat pants day in our style filed with the looks for around the house and on the go. 3rd out today will be right back. It’s been a cold week. So it’s fitting that this Sunday he’s apparently national sweatpants day. I was you said

>> Thomas, the trick here is the press. It makes it feel intentional. It’s like you can roll right out of bed except that attitude. Yeah. Hocus pocus. Know. I can tell you I myself have worn for John. It’s half with genes to drinks

All of like a little south. Like a cute little. Yes. Like a huge couldn’t get. Yeah. Yeah. >> I feel like I can’t go full jammies. The gateway is top of that was rebellious and comfortable doesn’t have that. >> People rolling around and put I’m just gonna wear

She’s going to continue with swept at work yet some for that 100%. I call these secrets was home. >> John, me about the secret sweat, Jonathan and a rainy secrets was or road to the east of us can say Jonathan is wearing. You might not think. I know, Craig, us like Aloha

Has passed both. They are made of a jersey sweatshirt like material. So for all those people who have great, you know, I want to ask permission though candidates doesn’t make it right. It was a real that’s nice. That stretch, too. Really nice. Good call there. Great. And in Missouri, a pair

Certain things where certain categories. Let me tell you something. Nothing humbles you more than watching jeopardy. You realize that you might think you’re smart. You’re not. We’re not go. Yeah. >> It’s a Friday. There it is right here. >> We’ll get some. We talked a lot about on our show imposter syndrome. That’s when you feel like you don’t deserve the things that you have achieved. Why are we sometimes overcome by self-doubt? We’ve got an expert, Richard to explain.

But first, let’s hear from some people who know firsthand what imposter syndrome is all about. It’s estimated that 70% of people experience imposter syndrome at some point in their lives. >> Celebrities from Natalie Portman to Tina Fey and Bella Hadid have all admitted at one time or another to feeling like

An imposter. Even former first lady misses Michelle Obama spoke about and what promoting her 2018 memoir Becoming Young people nowadays Call It Imposter Syndrome. I had to work to overcome that question that I always ask myself. Am I good enough? That’s a question that has dogged me for

Good part of my life and my good enough to be the first lady of the United States. I think that many women and definitely many young girls walk around with that question. >> I first started as a gun where a large law firm they

Self doubt sort of thoughts start to creep. Then I started to feel like maybe I didn’t really deserve to be there starting. >> The job, you know, first orientation, but I I’m not supposed to be here. >> I don’t know how he got this job that they just really like

Some all. But feelings of imposter syndrome can also surfacing home. Second guessing everything that I knew. If I do something, she said we might have a great conversation with my sine and anybody had me on the back about it. I want to medicate trying to find someone else to get the credit, too.

I don’t know. It’s because my husband is a great dad or my kids. A great kid, but it’s never me. I’ll never own a compliment world ever on the success. >> For many living a life without imposter syndrome would be free.

>> The thought of it knocked the wind out of me. I have no idea what I would be capable out, but I feel like I could conquer the world. >> With us now is the author of You’re Unstoppable, greatness, psychologist and executive, a life coach Lisa or Bay Austin,

Who specializes imposter syndrome were so happy to see you. Why is it that wildly successful women will feel less than? >> Oftentimes it’s not when they become successful, even feeling it all the way along their lives. So in that success comes, it has just added to that feeling of like I don’t

Belong here. This is another moment in which I don’t deserve this. And so the wall successful sometimes make it harder or has it is very public sometimes and people are sort of. >> They’re ferrying people are going to question whether or not you’re right was or that it’s so interesting what we say

To ourselves. I I know Missus Obama wrote about this. Now. It’s sometimes the voices of the critics weathered the teacher or, you know, and when you’re in a public job, people out there on Twitter or whatever it is a mike, you don’t deserve where you are, then you repeat those words.

>> What is that about him? Often times we’ve had this experience early on where in our childhoods. We’ve been told that we can’t we can’t do certain things that there are certain opportunities that, you know, we didn’t we didn’t get for certain reasons. And so then we when we hear those

Voices, they become reinforce. They were the familiar voices in our head. We tend to believe them more than we believe. Some of the U.S. as like you do deserve it. Yeah, we probably hear that often. But we don’t take that and the same way we

Did take the other. It’s interesting what she was saying about family because I remember when I first got my kids, I said out loud, I wasn’t sure that I deserve them. And I remember saying it and feeling it. Wasn’t that the yeah, because, you know, it’s like and I remember question I was

Like crying when I said it. I said, why am I saying? Yeah, but I felt I felt that I think a lot of women feel like are they deserving of something so basic as you know, a child, even? Yeah, I think that’s what all of us will think. It’s just

A work thing, but it can actually show up in your personal life with your children with feeling like this great moment in your life doesn’t belong to you. How do you emerge from that? I mean, part of it is really recognizing how position functions for you. So what is

Happening for you, particularly that is actually the way that it serves so that you can actually notice when it’s happening, being able to kind of understand that childhood dynamics of this in motion and really figuring out which ones were the ones that were affected because are likely the

Same ones that are affecting you currently today. Right? And breaking that pattern changing the narrative of the way that you speak about yourself. Yeah, yourself at all. Yes, we often see have to get better selves very poorly. And so that last really changed too much more positive,

Accurate narrative about who you are. It’s also really important. We often do a lot of this alone. So it’s very important for us to be able to kind of have community around us and be able to find people that can actually support a

Very positive mayor there. But we do. I’m just here to there are 3 tips, 3 specific types of childhood experience. Yeah, one of those 3. So the first one is being the intelligent one. Yeah. So the one in the family that was actually really thought of as smart. And so when things

Didn’t come easy to you. I thought alumnus Mars. Everyone thinks I at the hardworking one. Yeah, which is the one who didn’t get labeled a smart. But everything had to come as a result of really hard work. You know that I necessarily at the scene yet as a natural things and what your

Gift or skilled out. And then last one is a survivor where you didn’t get either piece of feedback. So as a result, you know, you tend to feel like it’s a way of surviving because you had either neglect or abuse in the home. And so it it gave

You an opportunity for success is to achieve in. Get out of what your experience that you still feel like a cane because of yeah. >> Yes. You would think when you say to your kids, look at yeah. There’s something we should redefine we’re thinking

About raising children. I think it’s partly adding the that the effort they put into it. >> Haha, yeah, actually achieved through something that they actually did as opposed to a natural skill or talent or some ease that they may not feel is actually that easy.

>> And check out leases book. You’re unstoppable. Greatness you can go to today. Dot com slash books. You. Thank you, Lisa. Coming up next for you to full beach get. >> Ways to charming cultural cities. Point check out some of the year’s hottest destinations. a peek out there with us.

Dollar renovation. The 5th, a little private beach but will couple to everything. So it’s the perfect hideaway right in the heart of a lot of that night. All right. What if you want to be freezing? And we want to I mean, I think the

Thing is I think the reason I would recommend Montreal, which full spot, by the way, the world can feel quite uncertain at the moment. I think people do polls about being too adventurous, right? But you’re halfway did say Canada, one of the safest country in the world, Montreal,

One of the safest cities. And then you’ve got so much beautiful that, you know, the women’s professional hockey League, you’ve got figure skating and then you’ve caught Montreal on Looney. Yeah, which is one of those crazy festivals that icon really describe it. Everything’s lit, right?

>> You know, wouldn’t be me if I didn’t just do a little something to it. I I started with this beautiful Neapolitan tomato sauce. So I took I took a bunch of beef and onions and celery and pressured pepper garlic and I cooked it all up

Together. Got nice and caramelize the brown. I had a bunch of tomatoes to it. Fresh tomatoes, canned tomatoes, about 50 50. And then I just took it for a while. I made a large back. So this went for about 3 and a half

Hours of this meat which I later pulled out. It was just falling apart and beautiful. And I love the little like son meet every once in a while that you get in the tomato sauce that so yeah, what I’m going to do is take that tomato sauce

And make these little bit in a week on full 15 because we charge by the following the you know this because so I have here this beautiful and you see that. So, yeah, its ground beef recall that commission chief garlic oregano, just a really simple, straightforward recipe. The key

To it is this not and I just mix it up like that, make these people and I like the meatballs really kind of so will hold through those. Yeah. And I just take them in. Rule them out. Really small. It’s painstaking. If you like to think about a

Lot of time lined them up and the little train just like that. And then what I’ll do is I’ll go to this past and I’ll ride them up. Fried butter, a little bit of olive oil a little bit because you see how nice and golden you get

There. Yes, really beautiful. Yeah. And I talked to him and that staff just like this could pack. I had a little bit and I’ll just let that cook like that together for about 5 minutes or so just for a little bit of labor in part. But

There’s so much incredible concentrated flavor inside this tomato sauce with those people. Now I take this past this macaroni. This is a store bought one. >> You could easily do. The one that I have in the book is, well, it’s a beautiful macaroni

Toss it together. And I had a little bit of this pass the cooking liquid as well. But I lose you there. >> Yeah, a lot. You know, the just taking notes right there with you could use toss it all together and a little bit of do

A little bit torn. Basil inside of it. And this is. >> Special stuff. You know, you could freeze the sauce ahead. Yeah, the meatballs as well. I mean, those are really important things to do. And then it’s just really easy assembly for you.

>> I mean, by the way, I got one that looks so good. You said you you throw some butter cubes in that product. So I put a little bit of butter inside out. >> You know what it does. It rounds out the edges of the city that tomato sauce.

>> Okay. So I feel like it just kind of softens that and I both like to eat our our spaghetti with their kids in the triad. You know what? Yeah, your recipe this week as you sky at its got to get this recipe head today dot com slash food and

For Scott. But we love this. It’s called peace llevan past ahead today dot com slash. morning, our dear friend Valerie Bertinelli is back. She’s recipes that, by the way, we just lost or shot 2 seconds ago when she came back as we just trust and believe our way

About. We’re so happy that Valerie’s here, she’s got recipes that are full of light and full of flavor have out right now. You’re just resetting your shot. We’re so happy that you’re here. >> Oh, I got to fix the. >> That’s all rounds. Take your know your good. Yeah.

It’s the perfect to use your glasses or your see. Look at Europe where I stayed perfect spring dish Valerie, your pots not coming up. I’m a to be our position to be able to make. I never going to get into this of what now you can hear us.

I can hear you now. Yeah, girl. Why we’re so glad to see other than your shot. Just go about how they’ve been doing. I’ve been doing very well. How about you guys in that way to get my b*** to New York to see you guys in percent.

What should be one of the first chefs who walks to the door? So what are you whipping up for us today? >> I am ripping up. Let you get everything heard about actually getting on. So I got a little bit of olive oil. This is a

Nice lemony or be with a pasta with some nice, fresh beans. So what we’re going to do if you’re going to get up and going with a couple tablespoons of butter, I’m just I want to clear up to now heat up and get this melted and then

Into that you’ve got to throw some shallots when shallots and that’s all nice and chopped easily. Charlotte, you’ll see that way. Get that stirred up while the shallots cook. You’re going to slice up some garlic. Now, usually I like to great garlic into any meal that I’m making.

I’m going to see the slices of garlic in here. And they get really beautiful and soft and creamy and they just melt right into the possible. So I thought the pasta already going just plain old spaghetti, good stuff. But all questions to get to that. I grew up on. So while

This sot haze a little bit for us, we’re going to get a little bit of chili, pepper red pepper in here and that this is going to soften up in the butter and the olive oil. So as that softens up,

The pasta is really ready to go because I put it in when we first met you guys very, very beginning. Like 40 foot putt to go. Who’s going to use the nice haha Stillwater and throw in? Yes, not keys and you can get them to really quick blanche in

There. And so while those guys blanche and this sky fries up, you’re going to throw in a little bit of heavy cream. And this is going to give you a really beautiful green Nissan. It’s just a couple tablespoons. It’s not much. I love that.

I’m hearing all these needs and need one of these days. We’re going to be together and we haven’t actually taste. So while that puts down the road, this heat down really low because they don’t want to boil off all the cream, then you’re just gonna grab some pasta water out of your

Hot right here where that means is are branching. Throw that in there. You’re going to loosen it up. And while you’re at it, just grab all of your spaghetti and your beans, it’s not he’s going to be and you get to know them right into

Right? What can just create. Yeah, I’m just rain water in there. Now I know is not great and you’re going to throw on some lemon juice and some lemons asked getting nice. Lemony flavor says that’s the way I will get all mixed up while you’re mixing yet there

When some parmesan and of course and then and you’re going to want some fresh air live, shot her and is beautiful, too. There you go it out. Also that cold. You absolutely could. Look, I made some last night. It came right out of the fridge and I’m going to have this for

Breakfast in bed with you guys. I got to utilize that beautiful office to get out its great value. Yeah. A powerhouse. Wolfie doing. He’s doing great. His album drops on June. 11th. I hope you can expect to see you guys. Yeah. The great. A free that

With that single came out. What kind of assistance yet immediately? I know, as I spoke to, Wolf, he was worried about what you know, men, Helen fans would think, but he’s he’s carved his own way with this record. And as Val said,

It’s and also it’s ridiculous that he is that town to to do every part on that record he said was untrue. It’s great on the ground them. Yeah has but then check 5 otherwise. Haha, good to say that. >> I miss you. Got to see you guys. I can’t wait to see joy

Of then address nice about the vinegar. Is it acts as a tender riser for the chicken half a teaspoon of garlic powder because everything’s better with garlic. I have one and a half teaspoons. Kosher saw and last but not least smoky paprika. I love smoky

Paprika and I’m putting in a sleeping tablespoon and it’s going to get a nice with vibrant color as well. So now I’m going to cut up my chicken b******. So I have skinless chicken b****** here. If you want to leave the skin on, you can do that as well.

Just because the base so fast? Yeah. The up to preheat it. It’s so convenient. And if you’re frying, it’s just so much healthier. Yeah. Okay. So we’re making the chicken want to you can do you D like to use what part of the chicken? Well, today we’re getting used to compress,

Holding kind. So we’re going makes us all together. And then this gets poured right over the chicken. How long do you leave in the fridge? So we could marinate this for about 30 minutes or more as long as overnight. Some longer marinate. The lot more flavor it has. But I honestly really

Great in 30 minutes, OK? So half hour later, you take the chicken out and now it’s time to get to work, said, okay. So then we put a chicken in the air fryer. And whenever you use the air for you always want to keep your food in a

Single layer because you want to keep the air flow. That’s what makes it Brown and Chris, Okay. Don’t pilot up. Exactly. Yeah. And you don’t need oil, right? You could spot a little olive oil. But for this recipe down, sometimes you do it.

And you use just like we’re store bought, peanut butter, anything skippy. Peanut butter. Drizzle the peanut sauce on Yeah. This is also if you want to turn this into more substantial debt, you can also have it on rice or or so good.

We have to check the butternut squash. First thing we’re going to it’s going to take this been a squash. I think a lot of people get, you know, it’s a little bit of a challenge, but a nice question have to peel it. You have to take the

Seeds out of the interior. So I always say there’s 2 layers on that that you really want to get rid of that, that exterior. And then there’s a way to slay. Want to get rid of that as much as possible. >> And then cut into like one inch chunks just like this very

Simply put it on a sheet tray. >> A little bit of salt classic or a little bit about the yeah. You could toss in a bowl and then put it together. I going to like a 400 degree up in about 20 minutes. Okay. So I

Really like that hard exterior that I think that’s been checked. So Rob can check the ice it just like this and then cooking in this pan that we have here where we have some shopping apishapa pieces and then we’re going to let

That render out quite a bit. But I’m all for just added a touch of all it. Just to get it going to have a little crispy pan chat is so little texture. Yeah, and I was I was just unheard of that. Not a single calorie and this bench. Yeah,

Special. So special and around to get a little bit crispy and then we’re going to add. >> A little bit of sage. Sage can check the all these that U.S.. That’s Josh, a little bit of sliced shallot Acacia pressure for just a moment until it looks like this

Little darker than I like it to be. What we can do is take this coming right down. I utilize that cooking with the well. So that pops to watch. What happens is this is the same pasta water. And then as I cook that down,

It’s going to continue cooking the pasta about the rest of the west. So I cut the past about 90% of the way here I finish in this posse. Like it was a dent. Hay or regular. Get up. Then to everyone likes to. Yeah. Where you go. It’s the it’s the

Texture and color. You like a little bite. So a little bite. Yeah. I just got to just pull one out and try and try whitston. Yeah, okay. I don’t get it for to going on actually do that. And I mean, somebody must at some what somebody.

Tiger. Bobby, good morning. Good morning. Well, this is got to be near and dear to you, but the Sophie Cook to teaching her your skills. Yes, it does. So Sunday’s with Sophie Sophie’s basically standing in for everybody. The idea is that it’s us Sunday. Meals were just meals for the family around the

Table. And actually, I I devised a lot of these recipes during the quarantine cause like everybody else. I was cooking 3 meals a day at home. And so the recipes are incredibly simple and they’re really built for the home cook. Okay. I love that book. A simple you had me at. Hello.

Okay. Talk about this. Posting this. But your PAPI coach and coach Chip. I caught you picked a poached eggs. So kasia Pepe simply needs cheese and pepper. Yes. We usually see it. Classically of pasta. Yeah. Everybody’s caught your papi everything. How is this practices and center on the

Like this is like breakfast or brunch or like you could definitely be like a late night. Listen, I this plenty of times. I love. I love, you know, eggs for dinner. We to basically what I do is I make a vinaigrette is very simple. So it’s been some white vinegar. Some honey, some

Shallots. Okay. This reminds me of what we did. Our cooking things. I know for a story that I can do that has actually look at me with and then some olive oil and then we’re going to add some Parmesan reggiano cheese, of course, and then some cracked black pepper so that

There’s that she’s there’s the catch and that half so to speak. I mean, this was right. And this is our little dress exactly a year ago. So then we’re going to post some eggs and a lot of people can to our I mentioned it to my show me.

So it’s it’s 2 ingredients. One of them is water and the other is some vinegar. Okay. And the vinaigrette is going to help the egg. This is my big one of the day coagulated. Yeah. I kind of resent a little bit too, guys. Not a raise your

Hand. If you can put away. Yeah. Out them. I okay. Yeah. Out coaches act with his eyes closed. Okay. So so we’re going to just and here’s a little tip. I crack the eggs. I first put it into a little ramekins was if I break

It, I don’t want to put in here or turn a lot of time to do that. If you just keep this kind of go right into the water, okay, we’re going to let those posts a pouch for, you know, just like I do 3 or 4 minutes. And the best thing to

Do is kind of just do a little whirlpool. So I get to get out and get a full shade. Seems like it to be hard to get those out. He can get them out. You just take him out. Very, very simple. Can be no problem. Okay.

We have some toast over here. All right. Okay. So sour dough bread. Some kind of country love. I like mine like slightly thick. Maybe I don’t know. Maybe in sort of like an inch and a half or so. So like that. And then just some,

You know, good quality, olive oil on the bread. Yeah. And then some salt and pepper. And this is one of the things that people forget when they’re making toast. Don’t forget the season as well. So happy toast, like bring out the flavor of

That delay at K. So we have the toast. I put a little more. I just froze this in the oven. Put in the oven. You can put it under the broiler. Just putting a toaster. Got the toaster is probably the best happening over here to get these out.

You can do that if you want, but we’re down here. >> This is this is a. >> I’m coming to food network. Okay. So we have some garlic clove and just rub the garlic clove a little bit, Brad, just to give it a little bit of flavor that, you know, this is

A very savory meal, a little more olive oil. And then we take our poached eggs. And we put the poached eggs right on top with some right on top of our our break, OK? And then we take our dressing. Yes, okay. Now this and it’s and this is

What this is. One of the flavor comes in a case. Yeah, he’s really good. Parmesan Obama, some fresh chives. I mean, come on. You make the dressing. Absolutely. And of course you can use it for salad was about that thing. Very, very

Versatile. Okay. This is what I was doing at home. It’s like, you know, you make it your home like you just take the ingredients that you have in your cupboard and you make dishes and and this. This was one of them. Okay. Well,

That looks show you have a bite. Yeah. Haha. I got to cut. Okay. Here we go to someone else every week. It’s doing gets going that Jeff right there. He’s working on it. You can catch wow. They again. On our 3rd hour. You can also

Jade started 9th, right. So when I see that my days of like a little kid over as you probably know, wow, they’re getting all their job. And yeah, and so I tonight I’m going to jet off to Italy going to Rome and Milan and see some,

You know, farmers and some families that, you know, making gradients. I love when you go to Italy because then you come back and you learn all. Haha, all the stuff and curated. I had that the tasters will have clean plate what we do. So I heard

I heard you’ve been cooking. Well, the what stretch know, I I think you can you hold a knife and shop this frightening so time and I want to talk like that. Just watch your fingers. What? This is a shallot. Yes, I like the shallots because of their little bit sweeter. But you could

Definitely use just a regular onion if you wanted to attend acted. Okay. That’s great. >> Perfect. I got to take that. The punch it out. So that Costa is a mashup of 2 of Rome’s classic cost us. Okay. Carbon are which we all know screaming holdout head-on collision here.

Dumping that. Yes. Now we’ll use. I do. This all went bad. But you know today. Okay. Okay. What is this? Awesome? Yeah. It’s it’s it’s a mashup of carbon are. Yeah. And I’m not a jot of both Rome and dishes. OK? One is a tomato

Paste. One is like sort of a creamy egg based right pinch at it late or whatever. This is called toss up. And you know, yes. So I use one skillet. Okay to do everything that some of the back of that trying to articulate some of the fat from

The budget, the cooks, the and yeah, I like okay. Because the shot. Okay. So that you can dump the rest of the shouting here. Okay. This is great news dump. A surfer who I know is I do like garlic garlic. Okay. Big old hole. Has your husband

Prep it off and I know all my money get Syria, by the way, do to make its first guy out or even so that to it? Yes, the whole thing. So you see how smooth this is. So that in Italy we call this a Passat to. So it’s basically no seed in

It. It’s very creamy. Yeah, looks. I just like this, OK, looks like catch up. But isn’t that isn’t catching a cab from some warming this up? And then I have the spices. Yes. So this is cloudy and chilly. But you may have heard

Of you guys of all may have heard of it. Now. It’s very popular these days. We’re too busy to yeah, but it’s spicy and it’s going to really spice because that’s a lot of cloudy and chilly day. But you could use red pepper flakes place of

It. But this has more of like a bounds. He’s eating my ice obvious fancy ingredients that can we find a yeah. You can’t. Okay. I just got com. Okay. The play. I was cute. Little poke. So look at this little pasta, aren’t they? The key?

So these are known as Nagy Muddy. You need. So they’re from Naples. Okay. And you see that look like a little not I love you and thank you. When I found the Naples a few years ago that I started, you know,

Bring them back for everybody to have a lot of Italy and pay. Okay. Sauce is cooking just about 10 minutes. But on this burner might take 5, okay, have any out so that all cooks together. So this is the tricky part and I did not see eggs

Coming. Well, because I said it was a matchup between carbon. I kind of got the shot in the chest as the chip. That’s a tomato sauce carbonara as we all know. Okay. So how did this get into it? It got into the Baja cover. Nara has at. Yeah, OK, go yes.

Yes. You’re going to break up and with the 3. Haha whisked with. Okay. Haha. So now we’re going to at Packery know half a cup and what cup of pat me down a job like that. Now we’re going to OK, so this is the trick right here to because if

You add this directly in to hear what happened is stick and what you end up at the end up with travel. That’s right. Yeah. Okay. So here we go. This is yet that’s slowly. This is pasta, water. So we’re using it when you cook the

Pasta reserve about a quarter cup and you could use hot pasta water to break this up and create a creamy sauce slowly. So when you ask this, but okay, do you want to get that out? What you do that with right? Always happens with the her.

Don’t take it out of the west. It’s totally fine. What is this is going to continue to mix it. We’ve got to keep mixing it up at a little bit. Makes it at the ad. Okay. Yeah. They gave us along for the same. There we go. And that’s it. So that this

Is now I get that and now you can get that back in there. All right. We’re back to that and I’m going to add the pasta in the sauce. Remember when you’re cooking show some of the member is coming back for the haha. You have little faith.

What you guys you should come on. It actually have good have invited me to come. What? Okay. So now I’m ready. Yeah. Off the heat. We’re going to turn the heat off and get this off the go ahead and add a menu. This is exciting. I where

You can see this coming in the rest. Well, the to just like to create screaming. Yeah. And then we said so we basically do this off the he got to the top. The 2. Don’t scramble the eggs. Just keep tossing it into eggs. Get cook by the boiling hot

Water on it and make it to the pan. So good. Good to see you, right on good. Was that is that a little bit of punch it a shot. And if you want to taste on Grand Bahama and then a little bit more cheese to finish and we’re not. Well,

Not too many. Donna, thank you. But we could do that. You’ve got she’s back in our 3rd hour. The creators been on a lasagna and a delicious Italian dessert. You can get chowdafest abuse and more today dot com slash food. Yeah. The thank you for coming back in a moment.

>> If you plan on ordering Italian tonight, what’s this one? 0st we’re going to show you how to make a satisfying spaghetti dish with ingredients that are already in your kitchen. It’s recipe from the new book dinner and one by New York Times food columnist Melissa Clark also makes

Everything you see. Bobby. Probably you could. I do. >> Haha. Okay. So we’re going to we’re making a pasta carbonara takeoff. Okay. This is an easier version because we’re going to do everything in one half. I like it. Yeah. Just because everybody even people who love

To cook still like to do that, yes, as folk is going to take care of that seat. So and pasta and bacon. So for this time of this is a traditional carbon, our combination. But what I’m doing is doing it in one pan and add some fresh greens to

Make it a little like, OK, all right. So we we beat this one. You can do the height of the 5. So I have I have some you clouds. Maybe I know. That’s the thing about cooking. It could be a little messy. Can you use 2 kinds of cheese

Right here? Now? Body? Yes. This one is the Parmesan. Put it right in. How much? Haha live to go into your wedding ring. The red ones. It is. That’s well because it’s Robert and I thought I was cooking today. I wanted to slip

And I’ve got also some pick arena. I’m using 2 kinds of cheese to make. It was a little 91 is a little something. Catchy is called Packery. Know how to really know exactly because guess what, she expenses. All right. Now we’re going to add some pepper and some saw and this is bacon.

Now this is regular bacon on. You can check if you are in Italy but use whatever, whatever kind. >> And it has some. I’m right here. Anand is cooking in the bacon for all of that is part of what’s going on. I just

Waiver so good. I’m sounding all right here. So the question you cook the bacon and then chop it up, or did you try to talk to first have to take it out of the pan and not just Now, here is the part that I love to to make this a one-pot

Meal. We’re going to cook the pasta and with the bank and handed the boy here instead of messing up another. And this is also what’s great about this. Is that the last of pasta to take on a lot of flavor from the beginning of the time or

The right? So we’re going to add some water right here. However, it should be covered. Yeah, we’re going to we’re going to first. We’re going to just let it simmer for a few minutes and we cover it. And then at a little mice,

All of that, wintry by Costa, I know, isn’t a great time. And and then another great thing about this also is that you could you have a lot of control over it because you’re standing right here. So, you know, when it’s perfectly all

Al dente, OK, so, you know, it’s just right. So this is what it looks like. This takes about 10 minutes and after its. This is what you got to throw that the walls have done that I want to. If you do this when you’re just going mess up,

Your Weis, definitely down. All right. So just give it a little star right around. Have the yeah. Yeah. And then this is what you do. You add it. So this is off the heat at this point and the past is hot. Still high. So it’s in the end.

You’re not you don’t have it here. You have on the pasta cooks. It immediately converts. It makes his beautiful silky sauce off. Look at that. You do not perfectly. I just wish you know right now. Do okay. So you keep pushing around a year. Yeah. And then okay. And now what we’re going

To do is we’re going to see this is another thing that they do not do with carbon are in Italy. They do not add fresh tree and you add it. I’m good at all of you to spend your throat on the whole thing. The whole thing because cheese

It probably. Yeah. I was amazing and said that that is parsley, parsley and basil and beyond. And yeah, slightly fresher. A lighter version keep mixing makes it makes it into that, right? Yeah. Another thing here is this is a one-pot meal because you have your badge and your pasta, your eggs

And bacon and your bed time. Want to know what our us again, 187. I-10, 30. This is a perfect run. 7 certainly noticed. When you say that you love it and see that is so bad. But you can make a home, right? Yeah. That was going to say sometimes.

Minutes or so just for a little bit of labor in part. But there’s so much incredible concentrated flavor inside this tomato sauce with those people. Now I take this past this macaroni. This is a store bought one. >> You could easily do. The one that I have in the book is,

Well, it’s a beautiful macaroni toss it together.

Yeah. The great. A free that

Track free. I think it’s come out recently. Somebody gets all the amazing. Yeah. I mean, it’s so hard for me even though I know him that he placed every single instrument on that I was praising. >> He’s brilliant. But I’m his mom. What Carson won his first
