The newest place to eat in the Smokies this is Roma table You can find Roma table at 1503 Parkway in sval located at the entrance to Governor’s Crossing are you ready for a lunch date mil love I I am ready for this and have been for quite some time let’s go Roma around Lavita e bella y’all which is Italian for Life is Beautiful y’all before we sit down let’s take a look at the beautiful dining area starting with

This bar that can offer you any type of drink that you might want a beautiful open concept dining area with many table configurations with the open concept dining room you have everything from a booth where you could have an intimate date you’ve got family setups for four

Or more and then of course they’ve got the open bar those windows will be open in the warmer months you can sit out and enjoy that and then of course they do have also this beautiful event space for parties holds up to 50 people finally we get to try the Roma

Table yes are you excited I’m I’m very excited I know look at that menu looks like they have a lot of good things a lot of good stuff if you’re new to our Channel we do show the whole menu after the review so stay tuned yes to start

Out with a great appetizer this is the Garlic truffle bread stack now this is truffled ricotta with mozzarella truffle oil parmesan with a lemon zest and parsley doesn’t that look amazing I cannot wait in the all right Brooks me being the mushroom girl that I am I excited to try

Inviting us out um we are so excited about this restaurant uh spent a long time coming but we are here and I decided to go there are so many first of all guys the menu you got to stay tuned because the menu is incredible so when

We’re done with the review we will post a menu but I decided to try their p pizza and we have seen a lot of the diners today trying the pizza but I decided to try the cauliflower pizza because for those of us who are trying to get back on a little bit

Healthier eating and a little less carbs in our diet um cauliflower pizza is definitely a must yes so it is thin look at that show us that crust I want to see the crust there oh wow I’m losing some of my toppings that’s a good looking crust

Actually Christy is a mushroom girl in fact one of my favorite pizzas is a plain Mushroom and Cheese but this there’s nothing plain about this did you get the mushroom pizza because I’m not a fun guy no you’re a fun guy you’re just corny Yes oh my H soon as you B into that oh my Gosh wow all right if you love mushroom you are going to love the variety of mushroom on this pizza there’s three different kinds on there I do know that the alfredo sauce is rich and creamy and yummy is that heavy or lot it’s it’s kind of heavy but but the fact that it’s

On such a thin crust makes it to where it’s not so bad okay and then the truffle oil and the spices and the garlic guys I’m impressed all right I’m so glad I got a pizza I mean there’s so many things to choose from and and Brooks got

A little bit of a different uh ordered differently than I did but um yeah I’m excited to have a place to go that has a great cauliflower pizza and a completely elevated flavor flavor Spectrum on their Pizza yeah wow go ahead and try the pesto orzo for us

So I like all things pesto and it’s actually got the pine nuts on there which if you don’t know pine nuts are in pesto and then there’s a balsamic glaze all flavors that I tend to to go towards if I’m not nutty and oh my goodness wow how’s That that is Yum there is so much flavor in that little bowl of orzo yes and the little crunch of the fresh pine nuts is awesome and then at the end you kind of feel that Zing of the balsamic that’s yummy so the balsamic is a nice touch on there it’s awesome okay

I could eat a whole bowl of that like give me a little chicken on top and that could be like an Entre looks like comfort food good all right it’s your turn for me it is the the entree is the Garlic Seafood bucatini there’s shrimp scallops Lobster meat that’s beautiful chunks of lobster

Meat garlic butter with a rosa sauce and then housemade Breadcrumbs I’m getting a sign of garlic palenta because I believe Annie Italian restaurant worth its weight is going to have some great garlic palenta all right so you’re going to try the um palenta first huh well if you would palenta me your ears for just a moment oh good lord Heaven Lord in

Heaven help him yes so it’s already got this nice consistency that I like it’s a little bit like a look at that almost looks like grits which I guess pent is probably an Italian grit in ense holy cow is it garlicky great garlic flavor but man so that is it’s like Italian grits

Almost but the garlic flavor that’s running through that my goodness I could eat a bowl of that so it’s awesome the sides could literally be a main course if you had a little brine yes but now look at this that looks so good seafood butini I want to point out the

Butini first because this is not spaghetti that is butini that’s got the hole in the middle which hard to see but see can you see the hole at the end there and they do make the pasta fresh here yes now that’s the thing we are not talking box pasta Roma table is thinking

Outside the box making it freshh that’s why I said Endless Possibilities I’m going to try just the noodles to begin with those look really fantastic and they look like they’re L Dante they are they’re they’re done very nice not too soft have the spoon so if you want to twirl on the

Spoon yeah he’s twirl on the fork guys before I even ate it twirl on the fork before I even ate It but now I want to try the seafood too so look at this look at the chunks of lobster meat in that there’s Lobster there shrimp those are nice size shrimp too yeah they are that’s wow the rosa sauce that’s what they call this sauce so how do you describe that

Sauce a mix between a marinara and a cream sauce okay that’s that’s what I’m thinking here so any wine in the background there tastes like there might be a little Cherry yeah in the cream So Wow shrimp’s not rubbery it’s cooked perfectly the lobster is cooked perfectly and you can tell it is fresh fresh seafood so overall that’s an A++ two thumbs up Fork twirl spoon twirl you can give it whatever you want all right well we will be back and possibly with dessert

Yes all right love this is the Lemon Cella buttercake with a vanilla bean gelato lemon curd with powdered sugar and look at that good ice cream on Top are you excited about this I am well if you watch this channel you know that Christy is not only a fan of mushrooms but Christy is a fan of lemon anything and this is a lemon cello cake with the homemade gelato which you can see the gelato that is

Creamy that is not just ice cream guys that’s wonderful like it almost had a has a tint to it because you could see the vanilla bean in it yes um so oh gosh going to get a bite of that I’m Excited that’s lovely that cake is light and spongy with a very nice lemon it’s not it’s not going to bite you with lemon but it is just nice and taste a lot of vanilla and of course that creaminess of the gelato yes absolutely just ties the whole thing

Together I a fan of the lemon cello cake all right I have The Salted Caramel budino which is butterscotch Custard with a caramel sauce and then whipped off in and we will celebrate with a key pie martini The Salted Caramel budino I want to talk about this specifically

Because this is a butterscotch custard caramel sauce and a whipped topping there is nothing in this that is not homemade there is no box anything here we’re talking egg yolks for the custard making it from scratch right here in a fresh open kitchen and I am very excited to try it

They said that this almost did not make the menu because it is pretty labor intensive with the custard yes and getting that just right look at the caramel looks amazing I’m kind of excited to try a bite of that myself absolutely caramel and lemon yes please are you wow that is amazing

And you can there’s you can tell that that’s homemade nothing in that is box that’s that is wonderful I’m glad that made the cut and what about that drink you’ve got there oh well here let’s do This cheers a little biscotti you are a key lime guy so key lime is that the key lime with Martini mhm I bet you you like that looks actually quite quite nice oh my goodness vodka coconut rum and then fresh lime juice Christy might even like that I I love that you’re

Seeing it come to fruition so you’re going to officially open the doors this week and uh wow I mean the community’s already come out in support and uh we’re we’re heavy into some training sessions right now but we’re so looking forward to opening those doors we were very

Happy to be guinea pig today I just want to say that so what’ you think everything is so wonderful so talk about talk about with us the fact that you guys are handmaking the pastas and everything so what what how did the concept come to fruition for

You guys what was the what was the original vision for that so at call your restaurant group we were looking at ways that we could uh bring some more local Concepts into the area and we went heavy into diving into what we needed to do what was missing in the area what we

What we wanted to do what there was a passion with our owners and our leadership team and we just decided on Italian and we’ve been full forward ever since um taking every extra step we can making the pastas here uh daily making the pizza dough daily with the best

Ingredients do you have a favorite here so far you know I’ve been asked that question several times over the last 3 days several times yes and you cannot miss dessert if you come to Roma table M theyve just brought it you cannot miss the lemono buttercake okay christe’s going to try that chy

Christy’s going try that and the budino which is the our salted caramel going to try that yep we’ve got that do not miss that but you got to start somewhere so you’re going to start with the garlic truffle bread brusketta yep we did um both excellent small plates to start out

With and then I you I just don’t you don’t miss a pasta you don’t miss a pizza um special ingredients special touches for everything back there in the kitchen we’ve got a great crew back there I love that and then you said that I love the feel the place because you

Kind of described it for us as a a modern art deco feel we wanted it to feel homey we wanted you to come in and feel like you were here with your Italian family and everyone’s having a great time we wanted to hear the laughter throughout the restaurant we

Wanted everyone to see everyone be a place to visit place to come together and so I sure hope we’ve accomplished that you have I love the concept of the open bar and then it just kind of bleeds into the restaurant the the dining area

And it just it does it has a very open Hy feel I love that we’ve got some space out on our private room that we’re going to be utilizing for some groups uh so we’re excited about getting some stuff out there and so you’ll be able to host private events family events birthday

Around looking for a place come out to Roma table we are finishing up here at Roma table and Christy I want to know just exactly what are your final thoughts what do you want to talk About yes I might be milking the fork twirl but I’m actually not milking the fork twirl here at Roma table because every single thing every single thing was wonderful yes um my triple threee mushroom pizza with the Alfredo sauce and truffle oil and cheese and the cauliflower crust I am so so

Stoked that we have a place with cauliflower crust but not only is it cauliflower crust it is it is elevated it is Deluxe it is Gourmet Pizza are you saying flavor bomb absolutely yes absolutely flavor bomb so I love love love that um that um truffle stack bread garlic truffle stack bread

Oh my goodness you know it just looked kind of like it might have looked like just like a garlic bread that was put pretty on the plate and it was but it was so beyond that it’s just so good just amazing and the ricotta cheese that’s kind of Lac with the chuffle oil

Yum yum yum I would get that again in a heartbeat except I don’t know if I could get it again cuz there’s so many other things to choose from it we want to try and the lemon cello cake amazing it was warm it was buttery it was uh such a

Beautiful crumb and that gelato was so grit and creamy uh just awesome um I did try Brooks’s dishes and I am simply going to say one thing in case he forgets is that Seafood bucatini is not simply just Seafood put in a s or seafood put on a bottle of pasta a

Bottle bowl of pasta bottle of pasta with a sauce um that sauce was made with that seafood and you can taste it throughout so I was really I that was really yummy yes so um two thumbs up two Fork Twirls A+ uh can’t wait to bring the family back to room table all

Right I’ve been trying to come up with a word to properly describe Roma table I think I found it mja that’s true that is the truth right there yes it’s just everything from the the layout and the style of the restaurant to the staff which Sebastian our server was

Absolutely amazing and they’re very well trained and you can tell that like I said this is a soft opening they’re not even we’re not even ready for a grand opening yet which their official open will be tomorrow which is Thursday January 11th which is Thursday January 11th January 11th yes

So uh it’s just like I said it’s ran really like a well olded machine so far and I said we were very happy to be G pigs uh I would yes absolutely the food from the appetizer that Christy mentioned the garlic truffle bread stack that was amazing whipped rotta truffle oil throughout

Everything was amazing Seafood butini the fact that they are making fresh pasta that they’re making fresh sauce and that that Seafood is being fixed with they’re using by the way so it has base gallops in it shrimp fresh golf shrimp and then the lobster meat they’re

Using the claw meat and it’s just so sweet and flavorful so so good but the palenta and the orzo amazing Italian Staples and they were great um The Salted Caramel bino almost didn’t make the menu I am so happy that it did cuz it was really really good everything homemade and to

  6. We. Are in Pigeon Forge for this week. We stopped at Roma Table Tuesday night ans there was a private event. Then we saw your videoand went to have lunch Thursday and we were not disappointed! We got the garlic truffle stacked bread-so yummy. I got thr braised short rib w/papardelle…so delicious! We wanted to get thr caramel boudin, but they were out of it….maybe next time we are in town. Thank you guys for your food reviews. We went thru all of them before coming down from Cincinnati. We plan to be back in May for my milestone birthday. Maybe you two could join us when i celebrate the big 7-0!!
