  1. As an italian i don't see any problem in eating spaghetti with meatballs. In Abruzzo there's the dish "pasta alla chitarra con le polpette", which is a sort of spaghetti with meatballs, so i see no differences..:)

  2. This is just Rule #1 of customer service. The customer is always right (in taste). Most chefs wouldn't choose a well done steak but everyone is different. If that's what the customer wants, then you serve the customer without insulting them. It's nice to advise against things that most people wouldn't like, but if the customer wants to proceed then that's what they choose.

A lot of people are weird, you can't provide good service to the public and present yourself that way if you try and exclude everyone who is a bit different.

  3. Peter im gonna slap the living spirits of your forefathers out of you while I'm watching you cut up the spaghetti and I'm not even Italian dude

  4. The people at this restaurant are awsome. They most probably hated all you did but decided that fuck it it's their choice they do what they wish about their meal. Even the owner just told you "Please don't" And you decided to ask to do it anyways and he respected your choice even if they probably judged you for it.

Edit: I legit just continued a second later and see him tasting it and taking a selfie with you guys, that is just awsome XD

  5. I feel bad for the waitress, she was actually really nice with their ridiculous requests. God bless her heart!

  6. I apparently can't drink cappuccino in Italy, as I just can't drink milk in the morning and have no issues from noon onwards.

  7. Another rule broken is order one thing at a time, usually we order all the courses except the dessert at the same time 😂

  8. ah ah i'm Italian and i always eat like you guys, screw rules within the stomach it all mixes up like in a wash machine so who cares? you guys are great! a hug from Italy , the staff were behaving really GREAT two thumbs up to them! GO NAPOLI!

  9. As an Italian Working in Restaurant for 10+Years, this was really fun to watch.
Feel sorry for the poor waitress and I'm sure they cursed you in the kitchen for the weird requests. Was all good and fun, I have fun when customers ask me for Spaghetti with meatballs or ceasar Salad. We probably take food too seriously, we know. But it is something innate that we born with. Since you start to eat real food in Italy you eat pasta, pizza and all the best food with unwritten rules taken as "law" (Like don't put the cheese on fish). We also get really mad about the distorted Italo/american food with nonsense stuff like macaroni cheese, meatballs spaghetti and so on. Come to Italy and just taste the local food, you will be amazed that in such a small country, every 50kms You can find excellence that you won't find anywhere else in the world. Enjoy the stay and come to see me for a good Italian Wine, ciao!

  10. italian ppl seem cool at based on these comments lol I’m American and i always heard the stereotype that Italians are rude but the waitress was mad polite to yall and I love the response from all the actual Italians 😂😂

  11. The owner is the best! Very friendly and I wouldn't expect him to try it. You had more luck than brain! 😀
