   That house must have been a residence for a noble family already in the middle ages. All noble residences had a horse stable on the ground floor.

    I would make sure you get the floors checked. When you were in the basement you could see a column of bricks that had been put in more recently to hold up the floor. The beams also looked a bit curved. They could be great, but I'd want to check, especially since the house was abandoned for so long.

    Between children room and bedroom it seems to me that they have closed the entrance with wooden wall. Kids room is dark. Consider something like smoked glass or another type of not fully transparent glass between these two rooms. This would bring a lot of light into kids room without loosing intimacy

    omg don't build two floors in the basement, turn it into a wine cellar! It has high ceiling and two seperate spaces which is perfect for wine production. One room for processing and fermentiation and the other for ageing. Looks perfect for a family winery, I guess you can put out 10000+ bottles a year in that space!

    1. How far from a city (where you can go to buy food, go to restaurants, get with the city government to talk about planning, where you can find materials suppliers? How near will your daughter's school be?
    2. How many square meters is this?
    3. How long do you think it will take to fix up?
    4. Will you have videos on that process?
    5. Where is all your capital coming from? Savings? Do you have high-paying jobs somewhere else?
    6. Is there cell coverage, internet? What is the speed?
    7. Are the roads in good shape all year? Can you ride a bike from nearest city all the way to your front door in all weather? Can a concrete truck make it to your property?
    8. Are the utilities reliable? How is the water quality? Can you drink from tap? Are there so much minerals that you will need RO system?
    9. Are you allowed to have solar panels?
    10. How is the sewer system (I spent $14,000 in California just repairing mine)
    11. Is there a market to sell the house (if you wanted to) for like $500,000+?
    12. What about your neighbors? Are there any? are they nice? Gainfully employed?
    13. How far from the airport is the house?
    14. Do you have a (flat) yard, with actual plantible dirt?
    15. What is the operating cost for water, gas, electricity, cable(?), internet?
    16. Is there a garage? a shop? Where is the staging area/working area for all the tradespeople to fix up the house?
    17. Are the workers reliable, responsible, responsive, reachable, fast, quality conscious, honest?
    18. What are the property taxes?
    19. Do you own the land too?
    20. What is the permitting process?
    21. Who will design the remodel? How? CAD? 3d?
    22. What do the local building codes say about safety features and energy saving device requirements?
    23. How far to the nearest hospital? How far to nearest police station?
    24. What is the insurance cost? Does insurance cover earthquakes?
    25. Are you allowed an indoor and/or outdoor wood-burning fireplace?
    26. Is there a fire department near? Can they get to your house and be able to turn around? What emergency services are available? What is their response time?
    27. How is crime rate in the area?
