One of the best desserts I’ve ever had is tiramisu served at Pompi cafe in Rome. I used the memory of that Italian delight as a guiding light when developing this tiramisu recipe.

The mascarpone cream I show in this ASMR cooking video is uber delicious and surprisingly versatile. It works in meringue rolls, Pavlovas, cakes, and what’s not.

After 3 hours in the fridge, the cream fully stabilizes. It’s perfect for those who prefer clean cuts of their desserts. I personally prefer my tiramisu to be on a creamier side so I usually eat it straight away or let it sit out of the fridge before serving.

Ingredients:
4 egg yolks
30g sugar
250 ml strong coffee
250g mascarpone
200 ml whipping cream
1 tsp powdered sugar
1 pack Savoiardi cookies/ladyfingers
2 tbsp Amaretto
pinch of salt
cocoa for dusting
