    I said it when you were in Milan, but again: you have a great Italian accent!
    I’ve walked up to San Luca in the heat….it’s hard!
    There isn’t a real view of the city from there so you didn’t miss much.
    Love Italy too…I’m just back from Sicily…..you need to go there as you love food!

    Luke I have to thankyou for taking us along, that is 2 places I wanted to go to but funds will never allow. But thanx to you I feel like I have been now. Your apartment is lovely. The food looks yummy. I have a very small part of italian in me. My Grans mother was italian. Sadly i dont have the colour skin but i have the beauty spot and the temper lol, my gran used to point those 2 things out. Lol Xx

    Despite the weather, I'm so glad that you had such a great celebration with your uncle and aunt!
    If you can find it, you might pick up a copy of John Berendt's "City of Falling Angels". He's an American writer that lived in Venice around the time that La Fenice burned.

    Bologna looked so beautiful and what a feast for our eyes all the food was. The air bnb looked incredible!
    My brother and his wife went to Florence the same time as you. Their flight was postponed to the next day because of the floods. They had booked to go on a train to Venice and were unable to go as the train station was under so much water. As disappointing as it was for them of course it was nothing compared to the devastation that people who lost their homes or had to be evacuated.

    Cafe Florian is actually neither of those and is on the other side. When I went it did not have chairs and tables outside. The Cafe with the yellow chairs is Cafe Lavena. Where I had strawberry Bellinis and snacks.
