  1. 17:39 I think it’s missing statement drapery for the windows. It would make the space more cozy and fill the ‘bare’ walls. Floor to ceiling, layered curtains for light and a little privacy; then thicker/darker curtains for privacy at night.

  2. I cannot wait till the kitchen is finished, hopefully soon! You can add the wall moulding later 😊

  3. An idea for the window treatments would be maybe play around with the lengths! Maybe on certain windows you have sort of “cafe” style curtain, so it covers about half of the window. Not sure that made sense but something to consider!!

  4. I think it would be beautiful to paint in your dining room. The ship lack the same green as the shelves in your living room.

  5. Suggestion for dining area walls…after you finish what needs doing, have mom paint a mural for you. I love the wall Miss Mustard Seed did on her last house. Your mom could do a wonderful one depicting your area of TX.

  6. I think finish the projects started before adding more…
And maybe adding crown molding in your bathroom and wall paper in your walk-in closet all dark and moody with sparrows, angels or something you would see in Europe in their libraries etc

  7. Make the moulding Macenna and paint them darker or a in a much more lighter tones like gray to highlight the walls without over decorating just making it mute like a canvasss

  8. Could you please list your cottage paint colors? The interiors. Plz, plz, plz?? Thank you!

  9. I agree with your Mom, MaCenna. Plus you still have a lot of art you' ve collected that needs some wall space to be viewed, right? Kinsley looks just adorable. Thanks for sharing, MaCenna. ox🐶💖

  10. If you really want something extra on the walls, a picture rail is perfect with wainscotting. Otherwise I'd wait 'til you do the bedrooms where you have a clean slate.

  11. Love the idea of moulding details or wall paper. Go see what Anna did in “How to renovate a chateau without killing your partner “ she made her own wallpaper from scratch

  12. Oh I just love you and your mom!! ❤❤❤ you are a breath of fresh air! You always make my day better!! Thank you!! 😊

  13. We have a lacanche. The best way to move it is with plexiglass. You kinda wedge it up and slide the plexiglass underneath, then you can move it with two people fairly easily.

  14. I also agree with mom. I would completely finish your downstairs and luve with it for a second. Once everything is up you may feel good about it. Like the idea of putting a pin in it 😄 your mom is a hoot. Love how she talks about a visit to your head!! A "lot goin on" "whoa" 🤣

  15. Greatness has happened with all those bouncing though going on in your head.

  16. I agree with mom as well! I think you should finish what you have and then see! And if you're really stuck on the idea maybe do one of your mock ups on the computer to see the vision and sit on that

  17. @xomacenna Hi Macenna first of all you are an amazing young woman and very endearing character. I Love watching all you do on your channels and love watching you with your mother having such a laugh together. QUESTION. Is Kingsly a Maltese or a Maltipoo? I live in England & I have to isolate during winter as I have a terminal illness which means I am unable to leave my house a lot in the winter incase I catch a virus as my heart and lungs will not cope but my family always monitor their health before they visit me anyway I want to get a dog and I so love Kingsly and hear he does not shed his hair etc and I have a garden I can play with a dog in, sO I want to know Kingsly's breed if you dont mind. Xo✌

  18. Hi macenna! just a suggestion about all the paper instructions you're keeping. Put them in a large binder using plastic sheaths. Huge space saver and you can use dividers to seperate per room/item type. I have 2, one for small appliances (vaccuums, tools, electronics..etc) and a smaller one for items that would stay in our house in case we ever moved and would go to the new buyer (paint swatches, large appliances, lighting…etc). Hope it helps! 😄

  19. I know you are looking for a coffee table with brass. I was just watching a YouTuber Flippingdraws and he restored a tea trolley and used a router to inlay a strip of brass on it, thought you might be interested 😉

  20. I love the dining area the way that it is. I think if you add additional decorative moulding it will clash with what you’ve got and take your eye away from the beautiful window detailing. Personally I would add more artwork, tapestries and furniture where you can add lamps, large plants etc. Or find a bold wallpaper to add texture and dimension to the space??
The concern I have is that you will be clashing two eras together which won’t match the age of your home. Decorative moulding is from the late 1800s “old English Victorian” styling, along with the decorative ceiling roses, corbels and swan neck coving. As yours is more folk Victorian, having the Wainscott and the window dressings fits the era perfectly.

But…. All said and done, this is YOUR home. If you decide you love it and want to install the decorative moulding then go for it 😄. You’re the one living in the space and if it makes you happy that’s all that matters xx

  21. Agreed once the crown molding and cabinets are up that space will not feel so empty and unfinished. You could always add that in another room later!

  22. Honey, do the crown and end it there. Yes, your beautiful home is Victorian but it is not formal Victorian.

  23. With all that wonderful height in your dining room, I think I would take advantage of that gorgeous space and skip the mouldings but hang large-scale pieces of art. OR better yet, make a collection of art and hang it in the “salon style,” filling the spaces from the ceiling down to the wainscotting with beautiful galleries. Also, agree with your Mama: finish up those other projects and live with this for a little while. ❤

  24. Sometimes less is more. Add the crown moulding, drapes and art and then see how you feel.
