Caio! We are Timo and Jo, an Italian and English couple with countless ocean miles under our belts. We’re refitting an ex Vendée Globe Open 60 race boat originally designed & built & raced by famous Hungarian sailor Nándor Fa. He competed in her in the 1992 Vendée Globe (round the world single handed race known as “the Everest of the seas”), finishing 5th, becoming the first non-frenchman to finish.

We are currently in Fiji giving this old gladiator a new lease on life, transforming her from an ex race boat to a performance family cruiser, which we’ll need to make both dog and baby proof! We’re planning to set sail again in Oct 2022, so with limited time&money we have plenty of challenges ahead to turn our dreams into reality&get back on the water!

    well, is definitely true that Timo has been away from Italy for a while…. ahhahahahahahah some MAMMAS and NONNAS here would cringe hard for that ginger beer… but in the end the look was pretty italian, to be honest 😀
    I would love to eat that pasta on board NV

    in barca, bel tempo, buona cucina col vino, la famiglia, una canzone col cane… valà che non sei in pole position, sei già oltre il traguardo! E che classe l'olio nel teschio della tequila! Festeggiare poi con una pasta alle vongole appena pescate è il massimo. Proverò ad aggiungere anch'io un crumble di briciole tostate; forse è più comodo togliere i gusci delle vongole prima di condire la pasta. Buon San Valentino Tesori!

    This was a wonderfull episode less boat a man in a kitchen without carbon fiber and the food looked amazing no need to hire a chef on NV ,I wish the best for your family and remember the pod motors suck too many pieces imagine being in the kitchen with a hundred chefs always go diesel I like being green but when I need a engine I need reliability not a bunch of dissimilar metals next to each other that tend to fail more often then they work
