Malloreddus with basil pesto


First time making malloreddus. Was a bit of a learning curve especially how to work with the gnocchi board, but got the hang of it towards the end.

The sauce was a simple homemade pesto, and garnished with crushed walnut and parmigianino reggiano.

Homemade pasta recipe:

For 2 persons, 200g 00 flour, 2 eggs + 1 yolk. Cut the dough into 3/4 pieces and roll them out into a long snake like shape, and cut about 1cm pieces. Using the gnocchi board and a butter knife, roll the small piece away from you in one smooth motion. Rolling against the grain produces best results.
