Gluten Free Foodie Tour 2022: NYC Little Italy – priceless reaction from Family with Autism

As Chinatown expands outward, New York City’s Little Italy gets littler and littler. We walked through Chinatown to find an authentic Italian restaurant. A lot of the places mentioned online were takeout only. Not so with Casa D’Angelo. They literally scooped us off the sidewalk and brought us to their finest table.

The food was amazing. I haven’t had Tortellini since I was forced to go gluten free. This GF version was unrecognizable. The gluten-free pizza was terrific as well. Everything was excellent…until dessert. No don’t get me wrong, their tiramisu and cannoli were among the best we’ve ever eaten. It was our kids! Each one self-destructed as they tried some thing for the first time. It’s funny to watch now, but we were borderline mortified that night.

Casa D’Angelo launches an authentic, new perspective on classic Italian recipes while surrounded by cozy, frescoed walls. The interior is lined with welcoming sidewalk tables, warmly decorated and designed to provide you an unforgettable, romantic ambiance. The restaurant’s award-winning menu features a surprising selection of fresh salads, homemade pasta dishes and chef crafted entrées. Our Menu highlights: Casa D’Angelo’s signature prime cut filet mignon, pappardelle topped with the goodness of fresh herbed tomato sauce, garlic infused with mushrooms, & vegetable medley. In addition to its main dining menu, Casa D’ Angelo also offers a fine wine list , hand selected and imported from every continent . Our landmark restaurant is a neighborhood favorite. Diners rave about the attentive service and generous portions. Casa D’ Angelo is also a popular pick with tourists. There a million little reasons why Casa D’ Angelo should be on the top of your list when in Little Italy, New York City.
