The Italian Side of San Diego, CA (Greetings From Italian America: California Adventures, Part 1)

After two years of bringing you our Italian American adventures throughout the eastern portion of the country, we finally got the opportunity to venture out west… WAY out west!

California usually brings to mind famous people and famously beautiful weather, but we set out to explore the Golden State’s extensive Italian roots! Join John, Rossella and Pat as they embark on their quest to discover Italian California, starting in the former Tuna Capital of the West Coast: San Diego!

From lunch at the city’s oldest pizza joint, to a stroll around one of America’s hippest Little Italys, you’re exactly where you need to be to learn everything you’ve ever wanted to know about the Italian side of San Diego. Sit back and enjoy! And check back soon for our next California adventure in the city of San Pedro.

Presented as a joint project from The Italian American Podcast and The Italian Sons and Daughters of America (ISDA), and in association with Joe Minnella Studios LLC, we present Greetings From Italian America!

Join us each month for a fresh look at one of the best parts of this country of ours… the Italian side!
